Overview
Start off this Cape May whale watching cruise along the shoreline searching for Coastal Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins before heading offshore in search of migratory Baleen Whales. Join the research team as your onboard marine biologist and naturalist leads the cruise with a science-based educational experience that separates us from others. Research interns from around the world lead a hands-on touch-tank featuring live local sea creatures.This cruise typically heads 3-15 miles offshore.

This was a fantastic time! We were very lucky and got to see a North Atlantic Right Whale, Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins, and a variety of birds! Even without the luck in who appeared, the naturalists were very informative, but still left time without narration to enjoy the boat ride. I would highly recommend the Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center, and will likely be doing another cruise when next we visit Cape May!

My husband and I went out on this tour with our friends on Nov. 2nd. This was the first time that we went whale watching in New Jersey. We saw dolphins, various birds and a whale. We frequently see dolphins while on the beach and have gone on many dolphin watching boat rides, but have never seen whales. When they spotted the whale they spent at least 45 minutes in the area so we could observe the whale and take pictures. The tour team, which included a naturalist, was very knowledgeable. We learned a lot and had a great time. Seeing a whale out in the ocean was thrilling. We are adding this experience to our must do list while at the shore.

Well worth the time and money! Took the tour with my family, two in our party were older and require a cane to walk. The boat was easily accessible for them. The bathroom is small and requires a step over a ledge. The trip was amazing, we saw 3 whales and several dolphins and birds. The narrator was very knowledgeable and explained a lot about the wildlife. My husband who normally gets motion sickness was fine. We had a lot of fun on the tour even as adults. They have a small gift shop and beverages on board. I give it 5 whale tales up! Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed this whale and dolphin watch. It was exciting to watch the whale as he stayed near for quite a while; we were thrilled!. The dolphins swam near our boat and, they, too were great to see. Wonderful trip!! Our naturalist on the ride was very knowledgeable of the sea animals; our captain knew how close to bring the boat so we could enjoy these mammal antics. Thank you so much!
