Overview

What makes us unique is the fact that we are the only tour guides that operate in this area of El Yunque. We only do small groups in small vehicles. No huge 14-28 passenger busses. This tour visits a hidden, remote and “secret” part of El Yunque. This tour DOES NOT go to the “slides." This isn’t a touristy spot and you cannot find these places on your own. We almost certainly will be the only people in the area. This day trip is guaranteed to be the highlight of your entire stay in the island. Come with us to explore an off-the-beaten path trail. This hike is to areas in El Yunque that are quite virgin, meaning that human interaction in the area is minimal. El Yunque is a unique ecosystem, quite different from any other areas. The area is also rich in history, which you will learn on the drive. The drive is breathtakingly beautiful and the rainforest even more so. This tour includes river crossings, blue pools of pristine water, cliff jumping and adventure for all. Don't miss out!

Itinerary

  • El Yunque National Forest

We will meet in Condado and proceed to drive into the Heart of the island to El Yunque Rainforest. After about one hour we will arrive at the most pristine, beautiful and enchanting forest you've ever seen. Surrounded by tropical forest, the Espiritu Santo River snakes its way through the valley. We will proceed to follow the river for about an hour. There are plenty of natural swimming pools along the way where we can stop. When we reach the end of our hike, you will find yourself immersed in nature, totally at peace with your surroundings. At the end we reach a waterfall that deposits into a very large pool. Good physical condition is required for this hike.

Parkour your way through El Yunque

Published on Dec, 2024

Sarah was the best! The tour was so fun and adventurous. This was the BEST way to experience El Yunque. Sarah was informative, took pictures and videos of us so we could be in the moment, and made the whole experience extra special!

Everything I wanted and more!! And then more!!

I knew 30 seconds after meeting Jean that this tour was going to be fantastic. And it was. It was the greatest birthday I’ve ever had. Turning 35 years old for the 5th time couldn’t have been better. It was just myself, another couple and Jean. I felt like I was with close friends. Jean made sure we were all safe, taking extra precautions at times in showing us where exactly to step, where to swim, etc. Driving up those roads is not easy- you can see all the potholes, corrosion, narrow passages…but I wouldn’t have known based on how careful he drove. He took us to a couple spots in El Yunque- beautiful, obscure, not touristy AT ALL. THEN this dude has the audacity to take us to an empanada place that was so damn good that I can’t go back to any empanadas in the states. It’s like flying first class and then having to go back to coach. THEN he caught a lizard and sacrificed his ear lobe so I could get a video of this thing biting his ear subsequently making it a “lizard earring”. THEN he took us to the beach…it just got better and better. I was pumped the entire time. If you want adventure, this is it. I love to explore, find new things, discover small wonders in nature that the careless eye wouldn’t spot and Jean was FOR IT. There’s so much more I could write but I’m exhausted from this glorious day. I had the best time, the best birthday and I want to send you money so text me your Venmo, Jean. The negative reviews are sad to see and I hate that they have to suffer a lesser rating because of them but omg the responses are hilarious. Right on- you tell ‘em! <3

Edward was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to parts of the rainforest that weren’t full of tourists which is exactly what I wanted. 10/10 experience!

Pure and natural Puerto Rico

We originally signed up for El Yunque, but due to heavy rain prior, there was a last minute change in plans. We were fortunate to have Airam as our guide. He grew up in the area and knew the river and falls very well. Once he knew our interests, he created a very personal experience. A must do adventure!

El Yunque private hike

Amazing hike with our guide Jesus Rodrigues! We had a good laugh, and he made sure we were safe all the way down and up the hike. Took us to a pretty place where we could take a swim in every jungle pool on our way. After he took us to a nice place to eat real good Puerto Rican food. Such a nice evening!
