Itinerary

Head for De Bortoli Winery, a third generation, Italian family owned winery. From its vineyards in this premium wine growing region, De Bortoli makes a wide range of award winning wines including the world acclaimed sweet white Noble One. Taste a selection of De Bortoli wines accompanied by a selection of local and international cheeses. Next, visit the working winery, Yering Farm where you get the chance to taste some of the wines made with some of the oldest vines in the region as well as their famous cider.* Continue your food and wine journey with a two-course lunch paired with wine at Tokar Estate or Tramonto Kitchen and Bar (depending on season, availability and size of group). Your last stop is the exciting new kid on the block, Helen and Joey Estate for a premium wine tasting before heading back to your city accommodation. * Please note: from July 1, 2018 onwards, this tour will visit Coombe, The Melba Estate instead of Yering Farm & Dixons Creek Estate. Tour guests will be offered 2014 Tribute Series Nellie Melba sparkling blanc de blancs on arrival matched with a beautiful freshly shucked Sydney Bay oyster with red wine vinegar & shallot dressing. Guests will then continue the wine-tasting with a showcase of the award-winning estate grown Coombe Farm Wine, approximately 6 in total.

Bill was our driver/host and made our experience very nice. We felt safe and he added information about our journey for the day very enjoyable. Our adventure had four couples that have been married for 40+ years one at 37 yet I felt that is wonderful. They were all a delight to enjoy this experience with. I highly recommend this tasting of the Yarra valley wines. It was not only beautiful the wineries are top notch. The luncheon was great and we loved the wines . Thank you so much.

A Great Day Out In The Yarra Valley Wine Region.

This trip was excellent. Our guide was Bill who was great and provided us with a lot of information on the Yarra wine region. Firstly, we were taken to a golf course to view the kangaroo’s, we were able to get up close for photos and to see the joey’s in the pouch! Then onto the Chandon estate which was exceptional on every level as you would expect from LVMH! We tasted 5 sparkling wines with tasting notes provided by an expert. Next stop was the Soumah estate for more wine tasting and a very good lunch with our choice of one of the tasting wines. Bill then took us to the De Bortoli winery where we had a wine tasting paired with five gorgeous cheeses with commentary from one of their guides. We would highly recommend this Yarra Valley wine trip.
