All the charm of the Winter Wonderland that is Alaska, without the hassle of driving yourself! This tour is guaranteed to delight people of all ages, as you take in the history of the area, encounter our indigenous wildlife at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and marvel at the beauty of The Last Frontier on a glorious sunset drive!
The Turnagain Arm is a must-see any time of year, but it holds a different charm in the winter that is guaranteed to dazzle!
We meet all travelers at the Dena'ina Center for pick-up, but will drop off at any Anchorage hotel as the tour ends after dark. If your hotel is not listed, please get in touch with us to arrange your drop-off location.
This is a great opportunity for solo travelers as we are committed to providing excellent experiences and do not have a minimum number of participants for this tour. The only reason we may cancel is due to unsafe weather conditions.
Meeting points
We meet in front of the Dena'ina Center, on the corner of 7th Avenue and F Street, across from Dark Horse Coffee
Take a walk on the wild side as you're guided around the 200+ acre Conservation Center. Your guide will walk with you, sharing information about the various animals located at the facility. We will be sure to make time for the gift shop!

Girdwood (Pass By)
We will pass by Girdwood, if time allows we will drive through the town.
Beluga Point
A favorite for visitors and locals alike, Beluga Point is a must see stop along the Turnagain Arm

Chugach State Park
We will stop at various other points in Chugach State Park on our sunset drive back to Anchorage.
30 minutes
Point Woronzof
Provided time and light allows, we will make one final stop at Point Woronzof where we'll catch the rest of the sunset and watch planes landing at Ted Stevens International Airport. If we're lucky there may be food trucks parked here to grab a snack before heading back for the evening!

Brittney is an amazing guide. She really makes you feel like you’re visiting a friend showing you the beauty of Alaska. She is very knowledgeable in the life of an Alaskan, the wildlife and has a great cheerful personality. She is a great conversationalist making this tour awesome. We saw plenty of wildlife and during feeding times. Lots of photo opportunities. Thank you for sharing Alaska’s beauty.

Way to go Brittney! Delightful tour full of local information and history AND eagles, bears, moose, fox, musk oxen and porcupines. There are more rescued animals at the Conservation Center but these were my favs. Twix the porcupine stole my heart. Top it off a spectacular sunset and it was a wonderful day. Thank you Brittney!

Brittney is an excellent guide and is very knowledgeable about all things Alaska. The tour included great photo opportunities for mountain ranges, animals, and of course, a sunset. She doesn’t go off a script, so you learn about Alaska through authentic conversation and observations. I will definitely look her up the next time I’m in Anchorage!
