Overview

Everglades Area Tours has been offering educational tours since the 90's. All our guides are formally trained, full-time Florida Master Naturalist and have years more experience than all others. While Everglades National Park is a wilderness and the wildlife is just that ... wild., Our decades of experiences affords the best opportunity to locate, view and photograph wildlife. We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". Airboats are not allowed in the Park where we operate. Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

A great way to experience and learn about the Everglades

We loved our two hour boat tour with Don McCumber. He was informative and personable, we saw dolphins and so many birds. The route was varied, through open water and narrow passageways. We highly recommended it. I’d do it again if I’m in the area.

Sunrises, Birds and Raccoons, Oh My!

We had a great day birding with Don and learning about the Everglades. The highlight of our trip was seeing the raccoons on the islands. The morning sunrise was inspirational for our photo trek. Definitely an experience we will not forget.

Wonderful tour

We took a 3.5 hours afternoon boat tour and highly recommend it! Our captain Dan is very knowledgable and personable. we learned so much on the tour. I'm an amateur photographer and had a blast seeing pelicans, ibises, herons, and even a magnificent frigatebird! I'll have to come back.
