A unique Bolivian cooking class with cocktail making experience in the heart of the beautiful white city of Sucre. Bolivia is fast becoming a gastronomic hot-spot with its abundance of local Bolivian dishes and their distinct flavours which sets it apart from the rest of the world. At La Boca del Sapo we are passionate about the Bolivian food scene and want to share our passion for Bolivian food with like minded travellers. Through our interactive cooking classes travellers not only gain the skills to recreate a traditional Bolivian dish for friends and family at home, they get to know the local ingredients and their significance to the Bolivian people. At La Boca del Sapo we believe that culture and tradition is at the heart of Bolivian food. Our concept is that you not only enjoy cooking and eating the delicious food we make, but through food you learn more about Bolivan culture and traditions, whilst making new friends!

Bolivian cookery experience

We did an amazing cookery class learning about all the local ingredients which can be found in Bolivia and seeing some of the herbs etc. growing in the garden. We all got really involved in the class (we had 4 in our group) doing lots of different tasks to make a 3 course meal which was so delicious. We also shook our own cocktails made from tunga fruit which were so refreshing. We made pollo con salsa picante, homemade chilli sauce with freshly grown potatoes and radish leaves and tomatoes and we made so many accompaniments for our main as well as a dessert! Moisés is so talented and we learned so much about Bolivia and his sous-chef Charlie the cocker-spaniel is gorgeous!

Very rich experience. We followed the lead of a former Bolivian chef to really participate in the cooking ourself. We learnt a lot of knowledge of the local ingredient, and method of cooking, the at the end, the food was very good like a fine dining level. The most importantly, the owner really try to promote local food culture, and he devoted his passion into exploring and preserving this food culture. Hope more people can come to experience this.

Very professional chef, clean kitchen, lovely food. Speaks English well. Sometimes, you had to ask for some explanation about the food or preparation, but didn't bother us. We would recommend it!
