Overview

You will be met off your cruise ship and taken across Anglesey Island with photo stops at Llanfairpwllgwyngyll... station and the Menai Strait then travel along the North Wales coast to Conwy a medieval walled town with a UNESCO world heritage castle. Here you'll be met by a local qualified and experienced guide in Welsh Costume who will have the castle tickets and we can explore the defensive structures and learn what life was like living in such a castle. We'll climb up a tower and walk along the wall walks if you wish. After about an hour in the castle we'll walk through the narrow streets of the old town through the interesting churchyard. I'll point out interesting shops and places to eat as we stroll down to the quayside to see the oldest building in Conwy and the Smallest House in Great Britain learning about the bridges and the tunnel over the Conwy Estuary. I'll leave you to have free time in the town and show you where you meet your driver for the ride back to Holyhead .

What To Expect

1. Castell Conwy Price includes admission and private guided tour of this world heritage site 1 hour

2. Conwy Town Walls We will wander around the medieval streets of the walled town hearing tales of the people that lived here 20 minutes

3. Plas Mawr The finest Elizabethan town house in Britain furnished and with costumed custodians 10 minutes

4. Smallest House in Britain We'll have a photoshop here and learn about its history and occupants

5. Conwy Quay Stroll along learning about the tides, the fishing boats and the buildings 15 minutes

6. Conwy Suspension Bridge We will see and learn about all the bridges and the tunnel of the Conwy estuary 10 minutes

7. Church of St Mary & All Saints We'll stroll the graveyard learning the stories of the occupants 5 minutes

8. Menai Suspension Bridge A photostop to see the huge tide rushing along the Menai Strait and Telford's famous suspension bridge. 5 minutes

9. Llanfairpwllgwyngyll A photostop and the station with the longest name. 10 minutes
