I had an absolutely incredible day exploring Brač Island with Petar from Taxi Supetar. Traveling solo, I was hoping for a relaxed yet insightful experience — and this tour exceeded all expectations.
We started the day with a quick stop in the charming village of Nerežišća to see something truly unique — a tree growing right through the roof of a small church! It was the perfect quirky beginning to a day full of surprises.
What made this tour so special was that I got to help plan the itinerary based on my interests, and Petar added hidden gems I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. From there, we continued to Vidova Gora, the highest peak on the island, where breathtaking views opened up over the iconic Zlatni Rat beach. Since I was traveling alone, Petar kindly helped capture some amazing photos for me.
Next, we headed down to Zlatni Rat itself to enjoy its beauty up close, and then explored the town of Bol, where I had a lovely glass of local wine at the elegant Stina Winery. The tour continued to the scenic village of Pučišća, known for its famous white stone — the same material used in the construction of the White House in the U.S.!
Our final stop was the Olive Oil Museum in the tiny village of Škrip, where we learned about local traditions and tasted a delicious selection of olive oils, spreads, jams, cheeses, and tomatoes. Truly a feast for the senses.
Petar’s knowledge, flexibility, and warm personality made this day unforgettable. Communication was smooth from start to finish, and everything ran like clockwork. I learned so much that I would have missed if I had just rented a car and tried to explore on my own.
If you’re visiting Brač, don’t miss this experience. Petar’s guidance turns a day trip into a memory you’ll cherish.
5/5 – One of the best travel experiences I’ve had!
