Overview

This trip is a 90 min. relaxing cruise through the Cocoa Beach Thousand Islands, we watch the beautiful sunset and return back to the restaurant. This is perfect for a romantic trip or large groups. The crew plays fun music! You will see wildlife along this journey. There is some narrative but the crew will be glad to answer any questions you may have and will point out animals and mammals along the way.

Meeting points

Please plan to park at the pay parking lot located at 420 W. Cocoa Beach Causeway. We have negotiated a 50% discount for our dolphin tour customers. DOLPHIN is the code. The discounted rate is $2 per hour and includes use of private restroom. Parking is not permitted in front of the Sunset Grill.

Cocoa Beach

Enjoy a Banana River sunset cruise with Island Boat Lines. The sunset cruise departs from the Sunset Waterfront Bar and Grill located waterfront on the Banana River in beautiful Cocoa Beach, Florida. This fun and romantic 90 min boat ride will cruise through the Cocoa Beach Thousand Islands before entering the Banana River where you will be able to have the best view of the Sunset. The Captain and mate will play fun music for you to enjoy during the ride. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the spectacular sunset as well as birds, playful dolphin and manatees you may encounter during your excursion. There is no narrative included on this excursion. You are also welcomed to bring your favorite cocktail from the Sunset Waterfront Bar & Grill to enjoy during your trip or bring your own cooler. The ride is a perfect way to begin your evening at the Sunset Waterfront Bar & Grill where you can keep your party going with live music and full dinner service. We are Family Friendly!

Great time even in the cold

The tour was very informative, especially about the active wildlife, such as the birds on the island. Since it was somewhat cold, the animals weren’t very active. The crew provided drinks on board and were incredibly friendly. Be sure to read the directions carefully—the boat dock and parking are about 200 feet apart, but they offer discount codes for parking. Don’t forget to bring cash for tips!

Really enjoyed this trip. So peaceful, good commentary, and we got to see some dolphins and some really beautiful birds. Chilly January evening, bring a coat. I thought we’d stop to see the actual sunset and let it soak in. But regardless, it was a great excursion and highly recommended.
