Meet your guide, Omari, who is passionate about preserving the mangroves around this area that he calls home. He has incredible knowledge about the various bird species in the area. Sail through the waters, meet the villagers, and watch the sun set over the mangrove creeks. This experience is the ultimate way to relax as the sun goes down. Impact Created: + Supporting a Hidden Gem: this spot is off the beaten path yet a number of villages surround it and rely on the area for income. + Local Employment: the canoe is locally hired and so is the captain, this empowers the local community but is also great for the traveler who can benefit from immense knowledge about the place. + No Engines: the Canoe is powered by human energy (the captain rows and you can if you wish!) which means no engines and no dirty fumes entering the water. + Community: this trips funds will trickle down into the community aiding healthcare, employment and education.

Embark on a journey where river meets sea, unveiling the beauty of Diani’s mangroves at sunset. Immersed in local culture by sailing on a traditional canoe with a local guide full of knowledge. Travellers will sail down the river in a wooden canoe with their guide. Surrounded by birds, mangroves, palm trees and history, sit back and relax as you take in the breath-taking scenery. Learn about the eco-system, history of the local area, culture and the importance of mangroves. Kongo river canoe ride

Big beautiful place of south coast. I highly recommend the canoe ride I've enjoyed every moment of it in a very calm environment Kenya has hidden gems like this one worth visiting

We did two activities with T4P and both were lots of fun. The beaded bracelet workshop was very insightful and gave us a new appreciation for the work that goes into making the bracelets. We had a lot of fun together and learnt a lot. The Kongo river sunset dhow cruise was very relaxing and also educational as we got to learn about the different types of mangroves, birds, trees and much more as we enjoyed the views and the sunset. Highly recommend T4P for any activities you may be planning.
