Overview

The Sunrise Tour in Monument Valley is one of the greatest natural light shows on earth. After a brief introduction with your Navajo guide, the group will navigate into the heart of Monument Valley. The guide will determine a perfect place to watch the sunrise near the well known "Totem Pole" Monument. Please bring your camera! because this will be a sunrise you will never want to forget. After the sunrise prepare for an outstanding live performance at the Big Hogan Arch. Fully awaken your spirit with a skilled musician by your side and enjoy the natural amphitheater effect. The tour will then visit a Navajo Hogan where locals will demonstrate the art of Navajo Rug weaving. The tour will continue stopping at some of the most iconic places like John Ford's point, Three Sisters, Mitten View and much more! Watch each mesa, butte, and spire glow before your eyes on this unforgettable sunrise tour.

We meet OUTSIDE in front of the view hotel lobby at the guided tour loading area; Please arrive 15 minutes before your departing tour. Please be advised we are one hour ahead of Arizona from March to the beginning of November. we are MDT (Mountain Daylight Time)

Wonderful guide that provided exceptional service! She took us far into Monument Valley and explained some things about the Native American culture and scenery. Very interesting!

A magical tour!

Sandrea was our guide and she was absolutely magnificent. She was patient and showed us all of the top photo opportunities. She brought us to a beautiful spot and even shared a Native American song with us in a very special way. This tour was magical! I highly recommend it to anyone who will be in the area and it is worth getting up early to experience the magic.

Wonderful Sunrise Monument Valley tour

We went on the Extended Sunrise tour with guide Bruce Lee (sp?). He picked us up exactly on time at The View Hotel and we proceeded to go down into Monument Valley. He knew the best locations to position us for photos as the sun glowed below the horizon and later when it rose above the horizon. He took us well into the back country to access these locations. In passing I asked about petroglyphs, and he took us to see two different locations with many petroglyphs and some ancient building ruins. It was a wonderful tour and he delivered back to The View Hotel right on time (and in time for breakfast). Highly recommend!

Wonderful Sunrise Tour of Monument Valley

Monument Valley is a wonder in and of itself. But, our tour guide Marjory made it so much more special. She was very prompt, even left a few minutes early with our group, since everyone was there. This gave us just a few more minutes to enjoy the experience. We were allowed all the time we wanted to take pictures and just revel in the natural beauty.
