Overview

An original and hilarious comedy walking tour of St Davids, guided by "the actual" St David and his 11th century biographer. This is a unique experience, covering over 2,000 years of absurd and at times questionable local history, based on the medieval works of Rhygyfarch the Wise. Expect heavily-embellished stories from the perspective of Wales's patron saint, as well as stories about Vikings, monks, and a leek, all within the beautiful surroundings of Britain's Smallest City. This "brilliantly imaginative" tour is a must-do activity for anyone looking to do something different on their stay in Pembrokeshire, suitable for all ages.

    The tour starts here and you will get to see the eco-friendly outside of the centre plus a hidden garden, the legendary St Non's Rocks and a Neolithic picnic table.

    Cross Square, St Davids, is the centre of the city, home to the local market, iconic cross monument and war memorial garden. You will hear stories about Welsh icon Owain Glyndwr, plus lesser known stories about the brotherhood of St David.

Best ever walking tour - worth a visit to St David’s just for that

What a fantastic couple of hours. My friends and I didn’t stop laughing. It was a brilliant experience and worth coming to St David’s for on its own. We really appreciated Liam arranging our private tour for us, as they don’t usually run in the winter. Great service, great fun, great memories - thank you so much Dai and Rug

My favourite tour ever!

100% a must-do if visiting Pembrokeshire - Dewi Sant and Rug are unmissable (partly because of the outfits...and the leek) I took a chance on this with a friend from Germany and we were both so glad we did! Prepare to be amused by the jokes and intrigued by the fascinating history of the man himself (although I'm dubious about the purported underground tunnels to the local chippy...) I'll definitely be taking a few more people on this. No spoilers, book it already!

St David IS your tour guide!

On a grey bank holiday Sunday in St David’s what better way to find out more about the smallest city in the UK. Die and Rug were totally committed to their mission and dressed accordingly and carrying suitable props. The tour was partly fact, partly myth and frequently elaborate fantasy but it was all the better for this. Be warned they haven’t a lot of time for Vikings. Well worth the price.

Witty and charming pun-filled account of the extraordinary life of the patron saint of many things including doves and pigeons. I could hardly believe my eyes and ears learning about a rock split in half by a woman with giant goalkeeper-like hands, dangerous caprines, a bee emporium, the secret tunnels and personal highlight of the tour, “the window” - behold “The Window!” Definitely worth the modest £10 fee.
