Overview

Booking includes 1 hour experience plus £135 store credit towards the watch you build during. Join us in the heart of historic St Andrews for a unique experience selecting and assembling your ideal watch before adding a one of a kind engraved message. Get hands on with the full Kartel watch range and take control to create a watch that will summon memories for years to come. The unique appeal of such a memento makes a watch building experience perfect as a gift for a birthday, anniversary or retirement.

Itinerary

Booking includes 1 hour experience plus £155 store credit towards the watch you build during. You will be met by our master watch builder at our workshop in St Andrews for a warm welcome. To warm things up we offer a selection of local Scottish produce such as whisky, beer and wine along with nibbles and Scottish tablet. We will begin by sharing the history of local watch manufacturing and the story of our brand to help give you inspiration for the build of your own timepiece. You'll be guided through our range, beginning with case designs and our vast range of straps, available in metals, leathers, cashmere and wool by Scotland’s Johnston's of Elgin, as well as authentic Harris Tweed options. With over 900 combinations to choose from you'll be spoilt for choice! Next the master watch builder will guide you through the assembly of your chosen components to create your finished wristwatch. Finally, you can further personalise your watch with a bespoke engraving. Adding text or even a handwritten message to the case back. You will operate the engraving machine and watch your timepiece come to life. And there you have it, a unique watch designed & made by you to keep forever.

Impulse buy of a beautiful watch a very reasonable price

Visited the main St Andrews shop in Scotland, the gentleman in the shop was extremely helpful, knowledgeable about the watches, how made, history of the brand and wide array of faces and straps available. I have to say these are beautiful watches, real prices of art and quality feel. Yes the movement is Japanese at present but proven reliability. I ended up with a gunmetal Knoydart on a leather strap. We went to the shop for a watch building experience for my husband's birthday. From the minute we walked into the shop the experience was fantastic. You can tell there's real care behind the brand and the experience. I was an observer and we were offered drinks immediately along with some nice Scottish shortbread. We were aware of the brand but the explanation behind the business really drove home the reasoning behind the beautiful simplicity of the designs. Each option and variation was explained and the thought behind the design as well as the options that currently weren't in stock in store. We had a fantastic time, felt really looked after and came away with something to be cherished for a lifetime! Thank you Dale, we had a fantastic experience that we will remember for a very long time!
