The pagoda was built around the 14th century, under King Tran Du Tong. At that time, the envoys from the southern countries (Chiem Thanh, Van Tuong, and Ai Lao) to Thang Long citadel to pay tribute were all devoted to Buddhism. Hoa Lo Prison is a famous place because it used to hold many great Vietnamese revolutionaries during the Indochina War and American pilots during the Vietnam War. During the period from 1964 to 1973 of the Vietnam War: this was the place where American pilots were kept alive until after the 1973 Paris Agreement. American pilot POWs called Hoa Lo prison "Hanoi Hilton". Among the captured American POWs, the most famous later was US Senator John McCain. Then customers can visit around and take pictures

  • St. Joseph's Cathedral

    We will stop and the tour guide will give information about this place. The church is designed in the European medieval Gothic style, very popular in the 12th century, based on the model of Notre Dame Cathedral with pointed domes, facing the sky. The main building materials of the church are terracotta bricks, the walls are plastered with mulch paper. The church has a length of 64.5m, a width of 20.5m and two bell towers 31.5m high with large stone pillars weighing four corners. At the top is a stone cross. One of the best tour during our stay in Hanoi

We enjoyed the ride soooo much. Affordable price and our tour leaders are amazing. Egg coffee experience was nice too.

Excellent and interesting

We saw the main sights from the side car. The driver explained things clearly. It was good fun and felt safe as went slowly and the driver was good. 2 hours was enough. Went to train street and saw train pass at the end.

Super fun, novel and a treat for the kids

Super fun, novel and fun for kids of all ages. There were four of us including a 4year old and we sat on 3 Vespas. Me and my daughter sat in the sidecar together. The Vespas were held up a little but Mark our guide WhatsApped to update me. The tour was a breath of fresh air and we didn't have to stop and visit all of the sites, just mostly driving by and hearing a little bit about it. The other 2 riders didn't have very strong command of English but they were friendly and helpful nonetheless. Highlight at the end of the tour was a visit to Cafe Giang for the famous Egg Coffee with our guide Mark. We enjoyed chatting with him and felt safe in their hands. Would definitely recommend and do this tour again. In the summer, suggest to do the morning tours before it gets too hot. Enjoy!

Fun morning in Hanoi

Lovely two hours toodling around Hanoi. Our guides were well informed and answered all of our questions. As we only went for two hours and not four, two of us sat in the side cars and the two men sat at the back of the motorcycles. That was unexpected but ok

Fantastic morning

Lovely morning with Mark and his colleague as they drove us around the old quarter, west bay and all around national monuments. Mark regaled us with stories of the past and provided us with unknown tidbits about the streets. The morning ended at a cafe started by the man who started the egg coffee craze. And I must admit, I am now a fan! Thank you Mark! What a lovely way to start the day❤️
