The only "bad" thing on this tour is the fermented shark but hey, its an adventure and what does not kill you makes you stronger and cooler back home. One of the best things about doing a food tour is getting a sense of the history of the country while eating something delicious & interesting. All of our guides are experts and graduates from the tour guide school of Iceland but more importantly, they know how to entertain and educate at the same time. Our stops are handpicked and offer traditional Icelandic food and ending at our last stop you are served a drink of choice! Make sure you arrive hungry! Walked around visiting various establishments trying different dishes like lamb stew, pickled herring and fish soup.

A fantastic tour to do when first arrive. You get some fabulous local knowledge and can get your bearings. Paul the Icelandic fisherman was a lovely guy with great stories to tell. We tried some great food in various places.

Tour was relatively slow placed which gave time to get to know others in the tour, and to sample leisurely at each place. Not sure I’m ever going to fall in love with Icelandic food, but Einar was great at explaining the food we were eating, with Icelandic history and personal anecdotes sprinkled in throughout. An enjoyable tour with a fun group!

My partner and I had an amazing experience on this food tour! Magnus was incredibly informative, polite, and welcoming to everyone in the group. He answered all our questions and provided fascinating historical insights while also explaining each dish in detail. The food was absolutely delicious, and by the end, we were both completely stuffed! If you’re looking for a great way to experience Icelandic culture through its cuisine, I highly recommend this tour.
