Overview

All tours are individually tailored to clients requirements based on your particular interests. Tours can be 4, 6 or 8 hours duration. A typical excursion can include a combination of the listed sites and surrounding areas and many, many more. Local museums, crop circle displays, vintage cars, antique shops, film and book locations, churches and commonwealth graves to name a few. Homes of the rich and famous, gardens such as Highgrove House, the favoured residence of our new King Charles III, or Corsham Court where you could walk in the footsteps of two of Henry VIII's wives who lived there in the 16th century. Your guide will contact you before your tour to find out your preferences and will tailor the route and tour accordingly. Your guide knows the most picturesque routes to take in the very best of the English countryside and villages while you relax and enjoy the experience. This private tour is for you only, in the comfort of a luxury car with a female driver.

Itinerary

  • Castle Combe Village

A picture perfect village for photographs where films such as the original Doctor Doolittle, Warhorse and Poirot were filmed

    30 minutes

  • N/A

A fascinating town with a ruined abbey and ancient history. Hear stories about the flying monk and the poor girl who was mauled by a tiger, in Wiltshire. The centre of the small town is perfect for a gentle stroll with some great places to have a coffee or even an early lunch

    1 hour

  • Marlborough (Pass By)

A bustling market town famed for having the widest high street in England. At the end of the high street sits Marlborough College whose previous alumni include Catherine, Princess of Wales, as well as numerous other royals and celebrities. The 17th century merchant's house and museum sit in the middle of the high street where guided tours can be booked for an additional charge. It is a town full of interesting boutique shops and the perfect place for a cup of tea

  • Pewsey White Horse (Pass By)

The villages of the vale of Pewsey are perfectly separated for a meandering drive, stopping for photographs and exploration whenever you like

  • Caen Hill Locks

Devizes is an historic market town with a medieval past and boasts 500 listed buildings where wool merchants and milliners lived and worked. The Kennet and Avon Canal runs through the town with an impressive flight of 29 locks climbing over a two mile stretch and has a cafe half way along selling delicious ice creams and snacks. Wadworth Brewery, whose red-brick dominates the town, has been brewing since 1875. There are several old traditional pubs in the town selling their beers for you to sample

    1 hour

  • Lacock

Another picture perfect town of the southern Cotswolds, preserved and little changed in 200 years with its 14th century tithe barn, quaint tea rooms and independent craft shops. It has been used as the location of many a period drama including Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Julian Fellows' Downton Abbey, and the Cranford TV series based on a novel by Elizabeth Gaskell. Lacock Abbey, once the home of William Henry Fox Talbot, inventor of the photographic, is open to the public for an additional charge. The interior and cloisters are easily recognizable as Hogwarts school in the Harry Potter movies.
