If you prefer to follow your own time or to create your own tour! Tailor made to capture your magic moments Ideal for Honeymoon Couples / Families / friends and couples. This could be applied to any tour The itinerary / route is flexible, please let us know if there is specific estates you have in mind. Tasting fees are often waived if clients buy wine. Tasting fees are between R60pp - R100pp per estate. You can select the option that suits your budget and wine preferences at each estate. Excluding the tasting fees makes the tour more flexible and really saves the customer money in the end.

    We stop here for a cheese & wine pairing. 5 cheeses paired with 5 wines. If available we also view the barrels and see the wine cellar. Stunning mountain and lake views.

    Small Boutique estate. Not open on Sundays. We taste the excellent wines called the Tamboerskloof range. Especially known for they Syrah. We also taste olive oil and visit the Die Boeren farm shop. There are ducks on the farm and the architecture is something special

  • Dornier Wine Estate

    Dornier or Waterford can be the lunch stop. At Dornier cheese & meat platters will be available as a light lunch. Here we can do a light lunch and wine tasting together or just a tasting. Again the architecture and landscape and views are amazing. Guest can also step into the vines with the guide here for some educational talk.

  • Waterford Estate

    A taste of Italy in SA!! step down the lemon tree lane to walk into a Tuscan style tasting villa! Guests can do a normal wine tasting or chocolate & wine pairing here. Or the lunch can be booked here at SALT restaurant. Lunch and tasting fees are on guests own account at all stops.

Wonderful tours - everytime again

In March 2024 we did a great private wine tour with Camino wine Tours. Even the initial contact went extremely well. We immediately received an offer for our request. The entire process was always very professional and questions were answered promptly. Jan, our driver, picked us up on time. He drove us safely to the wineries. We were very impressed by his extensive knowledge of everything to do with wine and the history of South Africa. After this wine, we booked a trip to the Sedwick distillery. Everything went extremely well here too. Our driver was also a whisky connoisseur and was able to explain a lot of things worth knowing to us. We would be happy to book Camino Wine Tours again for future tours and would also recommend them with conviction. We can only say „thank you for the wonderful tour“ Eva and Peter

Fantastic Private Tour!

We used Camino Tours for our girls' trip to Stellenbosch as well as Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope. We worked with Camino Tours to help design 3 days of sight seeing and wine tasting. We found Camino tours a pleasure to work with and they made our trip fantastic! We were picked up promptly in Cape Town and had our tour of the Cape including time with the penguins at Boulder's Beach. We were then dropped off at our hotel in Stellenbosch. The next 2 days were spent tasting wine around the region. We are big wine fans and asked for smaller wineries and a variety of tasting experiences. Camino tours did not disappoint! They arranged a great grouping of wines for us to taste. We also got a chance to meet with several wine makers. We also had very knowledgeable tour guide who educated us about the area and the South African wine industry. Our only regret was that we didn't get to stay longer! We loved being able to customize our tour and sit back and enjoy our time in the wine country of South Africa!

First class Stellenbosch tour

We had a wonderful day of touring the Stellenbosch area with Louis. He was on time and so accommodating to our requirements that he even worked around a family 70th birthday party. We had several restaurant options and the final choice at Longridge was probably the best dining experience we had in our three weeks in South Africa. We have no hesitations in recommending them to any traveller.
