Overview

Together with the "Family Siciliano" you will learn the art of Sicilian Pizza and Cannolo. Together with Mimmo you will learn the technique of preparing, decorating and cooking traditional Sicilian pizzas. Seek the pleasure of learning how the typical bruschetta is prepared, with typical local products: Pachino cherry tomatoes, basil, oregano and oil. With the father Siciliano, a great local pastry chef, you will learn the art of creating Cannolo, the typical Sicilian dessert. You will learn how the cream is prepared to fill the Cannoli shell, starting from the traditional ricotta dessert up to the custard. A very important rule is that the cannoli must be filled at the moment, to best enjoy the freshness, sweetness and fragrance. Finally you can sit in front of the sea of ​​Taormina and Naxos to enjoy your Pizza and Cannoli creations prepared with your own hands!

Itinerary

Appointment in Taormina, Piazza San Antonio Abate (arch of Porta Catania) at 06:00 pm. Transfer to the sea, included in the price, at "Ahoy Bistró Siciliano". Together with Mimmo you will prepare the dough for the pizza and the whole wheat flour dough for the bread. While waiting for the pizza dough to rise, you will have fun making typical Sicilian Bruschettas with typical local products. With the father Siciliano, a great local pastry chef, you will learn the art of creating Cannolo, the typical Sicilian dessert. You will learn how to prepare the crunchy shell, used to cover the Cannoli. You will knead with your hands and fry the dough in the particular shape. You will learn how the cream is prepared to fill the Cannoli shell, starting from the traditional ricotta dessert up to the custard. When the pizza dough has risen, you will roll out the dough, choose the toppings and personally bake the pizzas in the oven. Finally you can sit with the view of the sea just a few steps away, enjoying your creations of Sicilian Pizza and Cannolo to make your holiday original and unforgettable. At the end you will be taken back to Taormina centre.

This was a wonderful experience. Planned this for my wife's 60th Birthday and the look on her face was worth a million pounds. Chef and his family made us feel part of the family. The restaurant and the pizza and canolli we were shown how to make was fab. A not to be missed evening. Thank you to all involved.

Amazing , Welcoming , personable . A traditional family feel . Coming from a family with many Sicilian traditions , I felt at home like in my own mamma's kitchen . I can not say enough . We felt at home . So much education on pizza making we were desperate to learn ,as we had a personal interest in making the perfect wood burning oven pizza . Im a sucker for family and tradition and you will definitely find that here . Best cooking class I've been to yet .
