Did the deep diver specialty with Sybille. She was thorough and very professional, as were everyone else I dealt with and watched with other students / divers. Add to that they have access to amazing sites to see. Would recommend if you either want to learn or do fun dives

While on holidays, my two children (13 and 17) did a 3 day PADI-course (Open Water Diver) at Bali Diving Academy in Lembongan, preceded by a hefty bit of prep online reading and tests (which they initially didn’t feel like much, but ultimately saw the use of quite soon upon starting the actual course). The instructors at BDA are really cool, knowledgeable and patient. Over the 3 day course my children teamed up with Ruben, whom they really liked and who taught them “more in 1 hour than all the diving we did before” (according to my son). Well done, Ruben! The course started with a day of pool instructions and exercises, followed by a half day of two actual open water dives (practising all manner of skills like CESA, buddy breathing, neutral buoyancy, etc.) and half a day of further advanced skills. The final day they made another two open water dives, and proudly got certified! All in all a very good experience, and highly recommended indeed. Many thanks Ruben, Carlos and all others at BDA!

We took open water diving course for 3 days + fun diving on the 4th day. It couldn't go any better! Tom is a great instructor: competent, reliable and calm. The dive masters are also very helpful (thanks to Callie, Gisela, and Laurelia). Friendly people and great experience! I would love to come back.

I am Rescue diver, our 2 daughters got their Padi Open Water at 10 and 12 years old a few years back. Our son, who just turned 10, wanted to get his. We contacted a few dive shops in Nusa Lembongan, and Bali Diving Academy was very fast to respond, I was quickly in touch with the owner Pierre, who was always clear and specific in his replies. We booked with him. First of all, the setting of the dive shop is great, inside a small resort, right next to the turquoise colour sea waters and white sandy beach. The resort has a small restaurant/bar, with comfortable bin bags, so it is a great place to sip a drink if you like to stay around. Our son started with Nino, a local instructor, who proved positive in his approach with him. Then we had an issue, our son got sick during the night, and could not go for diving the next day. Pierre took over the day after, and re-arranged all his schedule to make sure that our son had the chance to complete the course, which was done at 11am on the last day when our boat back to Bali was going at 12:15! Thanks Pierre for the flexibility, for your great approach and patience with children, and for managing to get Virgile to get his Open Water in spite of the difficulties. Thanks as well for my great dive with the mantas!
