Overview

Experience Ketchikan, the authentic way! With local drivers born and raised in Ketchikan Ak. We have you enjoy a scenic drive through the diverse history and culture of Ketchikan. , we may see Bears, Eagles, deer, salmon, harbor seals, and more creatures, We will also get to enjoy a breathtaking waterfall! (Also if you bring something from your home town, you will be given something from our home town!)

Meeting points

NCL travels will have to catch shuttle to town & walk to Dock 2 next to 6 figure bronze statue called “THE ROCK” please be 10 mins early.

Itinerary

  • Ketchikan

    We will meet our tour on dock 2 by the “ROCK” and from there we will go explore our beautiful city high lights before headed out the road!

    This stop being the Salmon ladder is where you can watch the salmon migrating upstream to spawn during spawning season. (Salmon start spawning in July)

  • Rotary Beach

    Here we will enjoy our magnificent black sand beaches! We get out and explore and beach comb! ( depending on the tide)

  • Herring Cove

    Here we will enjoy and beautiful scenery looking for all types of wild animals, such as black bears,eagles,cranes, harbor seals, & different kinds of birds. (ANIMALS NOT GUARANTEED)

    This is a breathtaking waterfall on the south end at 10 mile. A MUST SEE!!!

Great Tour of KetchiKan

This was one of my favorite and best tours that I went to. The tour person for "Over the Top Tours" was Johnny and he did a great job in telling the history of Ketchikan and saw many beautiful waterfalls, wildlife, parks, ward lake, and Ketchikan creek & falls, salmon spawning stream. Overall, great experience!

The tour guide is excellent, knowledgeable & super friendly! He is also a born and raised local in the area and knows SOOOO much about Ketchikan!! I loved going to the beach and looking at the star fish, crustaceans, sea otters and many bald eagles! The overall experience was fantastic, memorable, and eye-opening, especially the waterfall!! I cannot recommend this tour enough and would definitely book again!! 10 out of 10

Johnny was fun and very knowledgeable of the area. Even though we were in the off season we got to see some wildlife and learn a lot about life in Ketchikan. Will definitely come again in season

Gem of a tour

Johnny was as an absolute blast. Went out of his way to give me a tour after tourism season. Knew where to go for the best views of wildlife, even finding a bear in November during off season. We saw multiple eagles up close and flying, while learning about the history and culture here. He brings exciting energy and you are guaranteed to enjoy your time. Highly recommend.
