Overview

I am the owner of a olive groves in the countryside. I will show you all the process about the olive oil, in Cordoba City. And you will learn a lot of things about Cordoba and non tourist life, and of course about the olive oil. We will do a 10 stop to explain about organic groceries, one tradicional market, the street of tribute of the bread, the street of Olive Oil, the Club of Jewellers, the vinegar street, old advertisement in the wines from the Montilla-Moriles D.O. After, we will move to the area where in the past the majority of people was trader of species, focus in peppers. You will taste 7 differents olive oils (differents varieties, and different Denomination of Origen, and after. We will do the Miller Breakfast.

Itinerary

First in our activity: We will meet in Corredera Square, under the clock of the food Market. We will visit the market ( Sunday it is close) and we will start our walk along the foodies spots around the neighborhood. We will learn more about the Iberico Ham, olive oil, vinegar, water, and flowers. Second in our activity: We will go to the tasting room, Bag in Box, located in calle Carlos Rubio . We will start to taste 3 different varieties of olives to enjoy the diferencies. After this we will a coffees in Molinero Style. Them, we will taste the different olive oils from different varieties from Cordoba. I will explain you everything that you need to know to enjoy in your palate. Therefore, you will be ready to have a breakfast in Traditional Miller Breakfast, that we called in Spain Desayuno Molinero (from the Mill) style, and we will explain you what we are doing. Traditional Miller breakfast is and ancient style from the worker of olive oil and the olive to make a kit kat during the time that are doing their jobs. You will be able to ask any questions!

Something unique to be remembered

Very enjoyable. We were a group of friends from the UK staying in Cordoba for a few days. We opted for the olive oil tasting rather than a wine one, and we all agreed it had been a wise choice. The experience started with a brief visit to the local market, and we then moved onto the actual tasting. Explanations were given in very good English and we found them fascinating. I never thought that I would see myself avidly dipping my bread into the different oils and trying to identify aromas and aftertaste. And they were different! And our thanks to Barbara, a young talented girl who made the experience delightful.

Exceptional Guide

Our guide Barbara was exceptional. We learned so much about olive oils, their production, different kinds, the industry and more. The tasting was a wonderful experience with each kind thoroughly explained in advance. We purchased some that are not available in Canada to bring home. A relaxing stroll to begin with as we visted a market. Highly recommended!

Definitely a must do to try Spains many olive oils

Barbara met us promptly under the plaza clock (flush against the building) at 11am. From our starting point there at the market we took a quick tour then off to her private location to taste the olive oil. We both were provided coffee or tea, water, a loaf of bread and some olives. Not exactly breakfast but she graciously brought us back to the market once the tour was over so we could buy cheese and meat for our journey. Barbara was very knowledgeable about the olives and the entire process. We learned many new things. We were able to purchase the olive oil once we were done. She does not provide shipping home. The olive oils we tasted were like no others we've had in the U.S. She also does wine tastings. A charming young lady with much knowledge and enthusiasm for her family's products.
