We had a wonderful tour with Professor Natalia. She met us right on time and took us on a great walking tour, explaining history of the island and pointing out information that was interesting to our kids (ages 7 and 10). She brought with her a bunch of scientific specimens from around the island and let the kids take a break from the walking to sit in the shade and look at everything she brought, explaining everything to them and letting them touch the items. The kids had a great time. We learned a lot! She kept offering to take photos of us as a family, which is nice since we don't often take photos of all 4 of us. I recommend this tour for families! She also does an adult only tour.
It was easy to find the tourism office on google maps to meet, but you might want to ask for her number to meet up if you have any issues. There is also a parking lot across the street that is inexpensive.
