This plan takes you out to Miyako Island at night to look for subtropical creatures and the star-filled sky. Miyako Island is full of unique island creatures and plants that are rarely seen on the mainland! The starry sky of Miyakojima is like a natural planetarium, with less artificial light than in Honshu. Under the right conditions, you may be able to view the star-filled sky over Miyako Island! If you are lucky, you may see a giant coconut crab... Depending on the weather conditions, the guide will take you to a recommended location! The tour will be held at night, but the guide will guide you carefully so that you can enjoy the tour without any worries! This tour is available only in English or Japanese. Please read the following notes carefully. The minimum number of participants for this plan is 2. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum, the tour will be cancelled free of charge (please contact us the day before the tour). ļ¼ˆWe will contact you the day before the tour date.) We cannot guarantee what you will be able to see on the day of the tour, as the nature of our tours is such that the content is easily affected by weather conditions. We cannot guarantee what you will be able to see on the day of the tour. Discover tropical jungle creatures by night!

My guide was Shintaro - he was great! We found so many creatures, and he was pretty fearless going into the brush to look for them and get photos for us. I can definitely recommend it, but maybe not for those that fear large spiders :D

Night Tours are so Fun!

The tour was amazing! Lots of creepy things to look for in the darkness and also gorgeous views of the island at night. Kodai was our tour guide. He spoke perfect English and was very accommodating to us as travelers who don't understand Japanese a whole lot (but I did get to practice with him during the tour!). If you're in the area and you want to get some steps in, this is a perfect activity for you.

We had a group of three, and got one flashlight. It did the job, but it would have been nice to have at least one more. This is considering itā€™s a tour in the jungle basically and there are spiders everywhere at head level. Recommend bringing some extra flashlights if you can to avoid running into cobwebs and also seeing/finding more animals.

Pumpkin Cave impressed us. You should definitely go. And Yamato is the best guide. Not only is he very knowledgeable, he follows us a lot. And although you can't imagine it from the outside, it's very child friendly. If Yamato is a guide, everyone can participate in the tour with peace of mind.

If you are aracnophobic this tour is probably not for you as you will see some massive spiders. However if you like the jungle vibe, spotting wildlife and are looking for something a bit different this tour is great. Just be aware that you should have didi installed and setup as there are no busses running at night in the area so taxi is the only option.
