Accompanied & guided by Chef Dat with 18 year experience and Dat is also a certified English speaking guide for over 20 years. Chef Dat is well know on the Nha Trang restaurant scene for both his cooking skill and his ability to transfer some of his remarkable talents to eager students. Dat's excellent English skills will ensure a smooth, easy and educational day. Using fresh ingredients and concocting imaginative flavors, this is a fun and interesting way to learn the local cuisine. Enjoy a unique, hands - on cooking experience from start to finish in preparing three fabulous and traditional Vietnamese dishes. As part of your culinary adventure you will also be given detailed recipes, so when you arrive back home, you will be able to impress your family and friends (and yourself) with some great Vietnamese food.

Itinerary

We pick up our clients at their hotel or meeting point then take them to the heartland of Nha Trang - visiting; Coconut place to enjoy coconut juice and learn about coconut story, noodle factory to learn how they make Pho noodle, local market to shop ingredients, vegetable & herbs garden. We do all of this before we stop at Chef Dat's cooking place - Viet Garden to learn how to cook 03 authentic Vietnamese dishes, eating their creations then we take them back and drop at their hotel or meeting point.

Dat was a wonderful host collecting us from our hotel before taking us to a local market which was fascinating to wander around. He then took us to his beautiful home (and met his super cute puppy) where he showed us how to make BBQ pork ribs, chicken and rice and spring rolls all of which were made in sauces or marinades prepared by us. What an incredible feast and made so easy under his guidance. Dat is a great storyteller and we would highly recommend this experience!

Good cooking demonstration in beautiful surroundings

Superb day with Dat, collected as arranged near our hotel and brought to a local market, coconut shop, and noodle manufacturer as described by many others before returning to Dat's beautiful home and cooking school. There were just us two, which is the minimum booking for a demonstration to run. The demonstration area within the grounds of Dat's house is beautiful, peaceful, and even has a Japanese fish pond whilst the cooking area is well laid out, spacious and spotlessly clean. Dat is a talented chef with very good english and skillfully but patiently demonstrated the 3 dishes to us and also getting us very involved prior to us cooking and then eating our fare. Dat is a very nice and patient man with excellent interpersonal skills. We had a lovely day and a very flavoursome meal. I would definitely recommend it for young and old.

Great day with Dat. Picked up in comfortable transport, strolled through the local market and visited a local family. Cooked up a traditional spread in a beautiful kitchen with the ingredients we purchased from the market. Dat was a wonderful host and made for a great experience.

Amazing day. Booked last minute and not disappointed. Markets were very interesting and cooking with Chef Dat was such a treat. Beautiful location; very tranquil. And we even got to meet Spur the puppy!
