If you want to book a chocolate workshop, book when you see one that fits your schedule. They sell out fast. When you get to the room where you can try nuts, cocoa etc, don’t eat too much. Those nuts will fill you up and you won’t have any space left for chocolate to try. We visited the factory in summer and there were flies in the chocolate tasting room, something to keep in mind. Also, being wet hand wipes, chocolate is soft due to heat in the room and will leave marks on your hands. There is a hand sanitizer in the room, but it doesn’t really clean your hands. Interesting gift shop, but we bought Cailler chocolates at a Coop supermarket. The factory is 10 minutes away by car from the Gruyère Cheese house, so you can combine both places in one day. It’s not a walking distance.
