Overview

Experience the thrill of scuba diving for the first time on this 2 hour excursion. Accompanied with a SSI instructor at all times, practice basic scuba diving techniques in shallow waters before heading off to explore Playa Chica Bay. Discover the magnificent marine life Lanzarote has to offer in its crystal clear waters. During the dive you can see parrotfish, ornate wrasse, damselfish and more. Enjoy small groups with 2 students per instructor (6 guests total).

Meeting points

Please arrive at the dive centre for 13:30. For parking the easiest place is in the Harbour Car Park. Then walk to us, it's just 2 minutes. Walk past the kids play park & walk straight up the hill. When you get to the top you can see Lomo Alto straight ahead of you. We are underneath it!

Itinerary

You will go on a discover scuba dive to 5 metres for 30-35 minutes with your SSI instructor and look at the marine life Lanzarote has to offer. When you arrive at the dive centre we will complete paperwork, including a brief medical history. After that is completed your SSI instructor will give you a briefing explaining to you about scuba diving and the dive you are about to go on. We will then find a wetsuit, mask, fins and boots that fit you. We will then stroll down to Playa Chica where we will put the equipment on and walk into waist deep water. We will practice the breathing and when you are comfortable we will go underneath the water where we will practice 3 skills with you. We will then go for a dive to 6 metres for 30 - 35 minutes. Along the way we will stop off along the way and see the different fish Playa Chica has to offer. You may see sea bream, parrotfish, damselfish, flounders, ornate wrasse.

I honestly can’t recommend Manta Diving enough, booked as a first diving experience for myself and my 10 year old daughter. She was a little anxious initially but from the moment she met Rachel and her excellent team they made her feel much more relaxed about the whole process. On the dive itself Rachel supported her all the way and made the experience so much fun! Big shout to Victor also for his support on the day, excellent. Will definitely book another experience with Manta next time we are there, loved it.

I couldn’t recommend going with manta anymore, from the moment of arrival to the end all the instructors were amazing, I panicked as it was my first time diving I went for the 5M and the 12M basic diver option.. both dives absolutely amazing sights you’ll never forget! Thankyou guys!
