This was part of our National Geographic tour and I’m so glad that Nat Geo went with Kurt safaris. I had an incredible time at Krueger. It was made special by our safari driver Chris Sibuy. Highly recommend requesting Chris if you get the chance. He went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing time and saw the big five.

Excellent experience! Aside from the amazing park filled with hundreds of breathtaking animals, birds and flora, our driver, Enoch was amazing. He had eyes like a lion and vulture! He was able to spot all of the Big Five; lion, buffalo, leopard, rhino and elephant as well as the Big “ugly” Five; hyena, stork, warthog, wildebeest and vulture! He stopped whenever you wanted a view for a picture, to talk about small birds crossing the road. His knowledge of animals is far beyond a regular tour driver; animal husbandry, climates, and eating habits just to name a few. I highly recommend taking a tour if you are ever in the park and also suggest taking a private tour as it gives you flexibility to take pictures on both sides of the vehicle and have personal correspondence with the driver.

Our Safari experience with Kurt Kruger was booked through the Kruger gate Hotel. It absolutely was terrific. We were uncertain what to expect, but what made this Safari beyond our imagination was the talented skill of the safari operator ENOCH. His skills in locating the big five was incredible… He specifically drove us to a place to find four rhinos. It’s important to say no one else has seen rhinos in the two days we were at the park, but it was his skillful set that got us there. His ability to spot animals is Yoon keen, and suggest that he’s got a special talent. He could spot leopards, find us numerous other species beyond the big five. He knew his bird calls, and would identify birds for us on the spot. He was so talented it truly amazed us. Added to that was his extreme kindness and consideration, always putting us his passengers first. He is also super safety, conscientious, and interacts constantly asking for feedback and wanting to make sure we get the perfect picture. I have traveled all over the world, and have taken many tours through via tour and other operators, but this was truly at the top of the list. Enoch made it perfect!!

We had the most magical experience on the four day tour. We were a total of five guests (3 we met on the tour) and did one sunset drives, 2 full day drives and a morning drive. Over the drives we saw so much wildlife including the big five. Although some of it is luck, we had an amazing guide Abraham Mat, who used his knowledge of the park and communication with other guides to ensure we saw everything we wanted to. Abraham Mat was always on time, full of knowledge and very keen to ensure we all had a good experience. Umbhaba lodge was very good value, with decent food and large packed breakfasts and buffet dinners on drive days. The staff were always keen to help us and very attentive. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kurt safari experiences to my friends.
