Overview

Fort Kochi has a long and complicated history of dates, events, conquests and colonizers. The old bungalows, towering trees and sprawling grounds all stood witness through the vast changes from a small village to a fortress, to a bustling trading post to our whimsical town of today. It is my passion to collect stories from the neighborhood elders and relate them to Fort Kochi’s historical timeline. These sprightly anecdotes make it easy for guests to recall their visit to our quaint historical village on the Arabian Sea. Come, be my guest.

    We will be walking around Fort Kochi seeing the Chinese fishing nets, the small fish market, and the beautiful streets with the colonial buildings learning the history and very memorable stories.

A history lesson you can't miss!

Ajita is such a natural storyteller... We started the walk at 7 AM, and I don't know how the next two hours flew by! We were a small group and Ajita shared personal stories, anecdotes and gave us the most chill history lesson. Highly recommended if you're in Fort Kochi!

Highly recommend Ajita's walking tour. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about her hometown. Great thing to do on your first day in Fort Kochin. It brings the history of the town to life.

Wonderful! We are so pleased we took this tour with Ajita. As she was born and raised in Fort Kochi her perspective on and stories of life there through the years were so interesting . It was a very authentic and enjoyable tour . We were 2 adults but it would be accessible to anyone old night to concentrate for 2 hours. Ajita was warm and friendly with excellent English . The 7am start was welcome as it escapes the heat. We have done many walking tours all over the world - this was one of the best.

What a great tour! Ajita was an excellent guide- friendly and informative. The walking tour avoids the heat of the day making it much more comfortable. Not only does Ajita give you so much of the history of the places we walked around but many anecdotes- both personal and historical too- giving this tour a different feel to others we have done. The best tour we did in Fort Kochi. Would thoroughly recommend!
