Overview

Search for dolphins and turtles on our kayak tour along the Southern cliffs of Tenerife! This is not just a sports activity, it´s also a chance to discover the unique nature of Tenerife. You will go along the rocky shore that you can see from the ocean only, as it´s totally not accessible on foot. The guide will show you local dolphins, Canarian turtles, varied species of fish and animals. Great climate of the archipelago allows us to enjoy the kayak tours during the whole year.

Itinerary

This is a fantastic experience to do kayaking in the ocean and see marine animals in their natural habitat. Turtles, dolphins and a lot of fun are expecting you! We start the kayaking trip from the beach of Los Cristianos, and head to the PalmMar rocks, with their impressive caves and caverns. We go to a special place where sea turtles live, and do snorkeling to observe these lovely animals. PalmMar waters are also home to many other species of fish and marine animals, so what you see from the surface here will amaze you and leave great memories. Snorkeling with turtles lasts 30 minutes and is guided by an instructor. Then we do more canoeing in PalmMar to enjoy picturesque views of the area. Many times when we are lucky, we meet dolphins on our way and observe these playful gorgeous animals jumping around. The kayak trip lasts 2 hours and is accompanied by a professional guide. The minimum age is 6 years old. It´s a perfect opportunity to spend time with your whole family and friends, do some sports, get tanned, discover wild cliffs and inhabitants of the ocean. Our friendly instructors will welcome you warmly and show you the best of kayaking in the ocean.

You need to be a wee bit for this activity. We did it on a calm day and I was knackered after it. We saw dolphins and a few turtles.

We booked this trip with one of the shops near the beach. We were picked up from Costa Adeje and taken to Los Cristianos. On arrival you are kitted out with a life vest and sea shoes if you need them. You then go down to the beach with your guide and are given a safety briefing. Sebastian was very knowledgeable and explained things well. If you listen and do as asked you’ll have a good trip. The Kayaking is quite hard work but very enjoyable, the views of the cliffs and the wildlife are excellent, we saw some Dolphins and a Turtle who popped up right next to us. Unfortunately we weren’t able to snorkel as the sea was quite choppy and it would have been dangerous, but we got to see the Dolphins and Turtle anyway. We paid for the photographs taken and were sent a link with them all on. We have some great photos of our day. I’d definitely recommend this trip.

Myself and my friend had such an amazing experience! We saw dolphins in the open sea and were able to get off the kayak and snorkel. Unfortunately, we did not see any turtles (this is the nature of sea life - it’s not guaranteed that they will always be there), but we did see lots of fish and the sea would lovely and clear.

So this was a risk for me as I am so scared of the sea but my friend loves it and after a boat trip earlier in the holiday I felt confident enough to do it! I cannot thank Rasta and his team enough for making this experience so incredible for us. They are all such lovely staff and make you feel so comfortable no one got left behind. Thank you we love you x

Fantastic, knowledgable and eco friendly tour with lots of wildlife

Amazing company highly recommend. Great communication before trip, emailed a question and had a reply in about 10 mins. We (family of 4, children age 7 and 10) had a fantastic kayak and snorkeling trip today with David. Organised, with a video briefing and summary of key points on arrival. David was brilliant, lots of interesting facts and great knowledge of the area. We saw Dolphins Turtles and flying fish. They also pick up any rubbish they see whilst out kayaking. Highly recommend this trip and will definitely use again.
