Overview

After being picked up from your hotel you’ll travel to the adventure capital district of Fiji, Pacific Harbor/Navua to begin a journey to a world away from the cares of modern living. Take a cruise up the Navua river, past villages, farmlands, pristine tropical rainforests, deep gorges/canyons, meandering rapids and numerous cascading waterfalls. Stop for a refreshing swim in Navua Rivers biggest waterfall before leisurely ride on the unsinkable "HMS BILIBILI" (bamboo raft) a reenactment of centuries old only means of transportation down river. A Fijian warrior will escort you to the village meeting house to experience age-old customs and traditions with a customary welcome yaqona (kava) ceremony.. This sacred ceremony is only performed to visiting high chiefs or very important people. Learn the History of the village established by lone Englishman John Humphrey Danford. Cultural dances by the men and women of the village, tuck into your hearty Fiji buffet "Lovo" Lunch.

After being picked up from your hotel, Experience Fiji's Natural Beauty as you travel from the burning west past Sugarcane farms, resorts, villages, farms to the adventure capital district of Fiji, Pacific Harbor/Navua. This was awesome! Our guide Nem took up to the waterfall at the perfect time before all of the other groups showed up, it was so beautiful there. The bamboo raft on the way back was really cool and going down the rapids was very fun. Back at the village they have change rooms so we didn't have to wear our bathers all day. The Kava ceremony was really beautiful, the food was really great and the little handicraft market set up was really cool. It was an amazing experience. The only downside it it was a 3.5 hour drive each way from Nadi and the bus driver didn't do a toilet stop on the way back.

Incredible day in the fidjian culture

Amazing day to get immerse into the Fijian culture. The guide was incredible and very informative. He welcomed us into is beautiful village and we get to meet his family. We started with a short boat ride to get to an incredible waterfall where we could go for a refreshing swim. After that we had the chance to experience a bamboo rafting. A very yummy lunch cooked on the lovo was served when we came back and we had the famous kava ceremony and some dancing performance. Such an amazing day I can recommend to anybody of you come to Fidji. The only down part was the very long drive (about 6hrs return) with no AC in the bus and the lack of information and communication from the driver.

A true Fijian experience with breath taking waterfall

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever done! The tour guide is incredible and really made the day so special. He also looked after my three kids so well. The swim at the waterfall the highlight along with the incredible local lunch in the village. We all learnt so much about their culture, which was great for the kids too. Yes it’s a long bus ride to and from - roughly 3.5 hours each way from Denarau, but it wasn’t bad at all and kids slept most of the way back after a big day! Incredible day, highly recommend!
