Overview

Join our fully narrated 90 minute dolphin/sightseeing tour from the Jekyll Wharf as we travel the scenic waterways of beautiful Jekyll Island to observe the magnificent bottlenose dolphins feeding, playing, or simply cruising about in their natural habitat while you learn about their social behavior, feeding habits, and much more. The waters around Jekyll are home to one of the world’s largest populations of these beautiful creatures. Our tour will take you along the intra coastal waterway, salt marshes and wilderness beaches. Along with seeing Dolphin there are often sea turtles, manatees, egrets, herons, roseate spoonbills, and osprey plus shrimp boats and luxury yachts. Our comfortable boats are US Coast Guard and certified for 49 passengers per boat, are equipped with a sun cover, MP3 Stereo and a bathroom. All our Captains are Master Mariners with years of experience in the local history and ecology of the pristine Georgia Coastline. Please arrive 20 minutes early, Let's go!

Fantastic, entertaining learning experience

I chaperoned a trip to Jekyll Island for a group of fifth grade students from Athens, GA. The boat tour is definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The kids are still talking about all they learned and saw. Van, Dale, and Paul were engaging and incredibly gracious to our students and all the chaperones. Do NOT miss this trip if you’re visiting the island.

Great Dolphin Experience

This is our second time doing the Dolphin Tour and we're planning on doing it again next year. We really enjoyed the tour. The captain is very knowledgeable and you learn a little more about the history of the island among other great nuggets of information. More importantly, we got to see Dolphins and we stay at the spot for a bit so that we can view them for a while. We had a few sightings and one even came near the boat. Fun tour.

Bad weather, great experience anyway

The weather was the main factor that day -- a really cold wind put a damper on the experience. We only saw two dolphins very briefly, but not for lack of trying. Despite the cold wind and minimal dolphin sightings, our captains made the trip enjoyable, and we felt we got our money's worth.

We saw dolphins and beautiful landscapes. The captain was knowledgeable and humorous. He was eager to answer many questions we asked.
