Overview

As my tour is in a small groups, I'll give you a local experience and I'm able to make slight changes of how we spent the day regarding duration of snorkling, beach time ect. of course if the whole group agrees. Once we will start our tour with a boat ride, I will show you the beautiful coast line of the area. We will visit the rock called Arco Iris (Rainbow Rock) and then we will go to the group of Islands called Morteros for some snorkeling. Changing the snorkeling mask for the sunglasses again, we go to the island itself, where you can enjoy a swim in the warm waters, stroll along the sugary white sand beach, walk along the path to the top of the island or relax in the shade of a palm tree. Here we will serve you some fresh fruits and drinks.

Meeting points

Once you arrive at the beach in Paquera (Playa Paquera, Los Organos) we are located at the right side, or you see our boat already at the sea shore.

Itinerary

We will start our day from Playa 'Los Órganos' in Paquera at 9am to 2.30pm or 12pm to 4pm, with a pleasant boat ride of approximately 20 minutes. On the way to Tortuga Island, you will enjoy the beautiful coast along with some marine life. We will pass Playa Quesera, then going with the boat through the hole in the rock called Arco Iris. After this we will go to the group of Islands called Morteros for snorkeling. The volcanic rock reef is surrounded by crystal clear waters and is famous for the large number of goldfish and some corals. On the Pacific coast of Costa Rica there are not many hard corals, but many fish and shellfish that keep their attention. You can see, for example, angelfish, porcupine, morays, needle fish, spotted eagle rays and many more tropical beauties that will make it a great snorkeling experience. Changing the snorkeling mask for the sunglasses again, we go to the island itself, where we will visit Playa Tropical, where you can enjoy a swim in the warm waters, stroll along the sugary white sand beach, walk along the path to the top of the island or relax in the shade of a palm tree swaying. Here we will serve you some fresh fruits and drinks.

Best tour

Small group made it easy to enjoy the experience. The instructors were very focused on our experience and addressed every detail. We felt so taken care of! This is essentially a luxury tour and worth every penny. Highly recommend!

A peaceful day snorkeling and seeing the area

El Gecko Tours was great. We had a small group - they gave us a tour of some of the area before we went snorkeling. We saw a lot of fish when we snorkeled and had a nice peaceful lunch on a more secluded beach. They then showed us more of the islands and coast / a great day overall!

This was a great trip! Our guide was super helpful and knowledgeable about the fauna, land and sea. The reef was rich with fish. A nice lunch was provided. What a way to spend a day on the water! We loved it.

This was the best experience I booked during my stay in Costa Rica. We were 4 guests in total and the boattrip was so nice, we were lucky enough to see dolphins during the ride as well. The water was a bit cloudy do to the rainy weather the days before, but still a nice snorkel where we could see some beautiful fish. It is a boatride to Isla Tortuga, but in stead of stopping on the main beach, the guides took us to a small private beach just next to the other one instead (we chose to instead of the main beach). We had fruit (coconut, pineapple, banana and watermelon), someting to drink of choice and even a sandwich. The guides were so chill and had the best vibes and gave us the greatest tour! Would highly recomend. The only small minus (bot important to me) was that none of the guides spoke any english, but just something to know. All in all the nicest trip that I would do again. Nature, relaxation, sun and just a good vibe. Thanks a lot!
