A casual and playful tasting class in the Bordeaux city center with 3 glasses of wine paired with local cheeses and charcuteries. A friendly experience open to everyone, whatever the knowledge. The wines and the schedule may vary, but the quality of the offer will remain the same. Children under 16 and pets are not allowed for the comfort of the group, so a private tour or tasting will be more suitable in your case.

Itinerary

With a local wine expert, enjoy a tasting workshop, between the atmosphere of a wine bar and a course of oenology in the heart of Bordeaux, 2 steps away from the Grand Theatre. An introduction of basic notions such as : terroir, grape varieties, appellation. No knowledge is required to participate in this experience, our experts will adapt whether you are a beginner or an expert and you will learn while having fun on site! - Tasting will start with a first glass of white wine, allowing you to learn the key steps of the tasting with universal method reputed in the wine industry. - Finally, you will taste 2 fine wines, 1 from the left bank, the second from the right bank, one of which is a Bordeaux grand cru. This will allow you to better understand the major red wine regions in Bordeaux, the Médoc & Libournais. - Wines will be paired with fine local charcuterie & cheeses to enhance your cultural immersion, while learning basic knowledge about food & wine pairing. Our expert sommeliers are at your disposal to demystify the secrets of wine and answer all your questions. A travel through Bordeaux and its wines, no more hesitation on the choice of the bottles after this class!

Ava was our sommelier and was very friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, and delivered this particular session in English. The wines were lovely and matched the cheeses and charcuterie really well. My friend and I really enjoyed the overall experience, activities, and learnt some interesting wine trivia throughout.
