Overview

Our Dolphin & Whale Watch explores the world of dolphins & whales, wildlife & Kona’s dramatic coastline. Our captains will narrate your journey & point out spectacular sights while providing information on the area’s wildlife, history & geology while you slowly cruise looking for a variety of wildlife. Year round we often find Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins, Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins & Spotted Dolphins. Seasonally, (Dec-March) Humpback Whales visit to mate & give birth. We could also see Pilot Whales, Beaked-Whales, Melon-headed whales & other species. We will focus on finding these magnificent mammals & spending time with them to observe, learn, photograph & listen to their song & other vocalizations with our underwater hydrophone. So come aboard one of our rigid hull inflatable vessels and cruise with us on this relaxed island cruise. This is a non-snorkeling tour. Suitable for ages 5+. Tour time is 3.5 hrs, which includes time for checkin. Tour time selected is check in time.

Patience pays off! Great guides!

We had a great day today with Captain Denis and Crew Kaylei. They took us out and kept sharing about Hawaii and whales/dolphins while we looked for creatures. We saw a few clusters of manta rays feeding (so intriguing) and we saw several small whales , just bits of plumes and a couple of tails before they dove. Both Denis and Kaylei kept at it, and near the end of our time we saw a pair of larger humpbacks swimming along - incredible! - and then on our return, about 6-8 dolphins swam along side our boat, jumping in the wake! It was great! I've been on other tours, and this stands out as a great outfit and wonderful guides. Mahalo!!

What an incredible trip with Warren as our guide! We had the rare opportunity of having 2 Humpback whales circle, surface and dive under our small boat for about 20 minutes. Truly incredible. They acted like large dolphins who were curious and wanted to show off for us. What fun! I would rate the trip as 6 stars if I could!

Memorable Whale WAtching Experience!

My husband and I had a fantastic whale watching tour with captain Shelley (sp?) and deckhand Tim. The captain shared a lot of interesting facts about whales and their behavior. We followed (from a safe distance) three whales and even got to see one of them do a full breach (fluke out of the water). We also saw a large pod of spinner dolphins, who put on quite a show. Thanks again, we'll be back!

Fantastic Whale Watching Experience

This company goes all out to provide a good experience. Captain Raj and first mate Tim went above and beyond to help my disabled mom enjoy this adventure. They practically carried her on board, they provided a comfortable seat for her and were just phenomenal. We saw a small pod of Humpback whales and we followed them around seeing them swim, spray and breach. They also had a sound device that let us hear the whales communicating underwater. It’s pretty amazing when you see a creature that large hoist themselves out of the water. We had gorgeous weather and just an all around great time. Then to top it all off, Shelly personally drove us back to our ship. Our attempts at securing a ride share failed and he thought if we relied on the public bus we wouldn’t get back in time. I can’t say enough good things about this company.
