Itinerary

Combine your trip to the Great Salt Lake with what I consider the only way to visit it by experiencing Antelope Island. This little known island is teaming with wildlife, and you can't get the quiet of wilderness by simply visiting it near I-80. We will spot for the wild herd of 600 American Bison roaming the island. Amongst the Bison we'll watch for coyote, bobcat, antelope, porcupine, big-horn sheep, mule deer and if the season is right up to 200,000 migratory birds. You can truly experience Nature in its finest form on this beautiful island. After wildlife spotting, we'll hike to Buffalo Point on the Island to watch the sunset and take in the breathtaking views. *Bug Season (April-June) We have bug spray for the mosquitos, and hats/bug nets for the biting gnats. Midges do not bite. The Hike is .9 miles round trip. It has a couple steep parts on dirt, but it's very well traveled. I would designate this as a moderate hiking difficulty, which is less than a mile. The Tour Vehicle is a 10 Passenger Ford Transit Passenger Van with a High Roof and really great large windows in the back for viewing. There is bathroom availability

Wildlife up close

This is an outstanding tour. We saw quite a bit of wildlife and much of it up close. Bison herds, pronghorns, coyotes, porcupines and thousands of birds. Blake conducted a great tour. Our trek to the sunset was an excellent end to a great tour.

Beautiful experience with anazing guide

Our guide, Phil truly made this experience special. His love and knowledge of the wildlife and nature of Antelope Island was absolutely awe-inspiring. Its a nice quiet island and we were able to peek in on two different fields of bison. Watching the pink and blue mountains change to gray as the sun set was filling to the heart. Phil, being a treasure of a human being, recited poetry and even played the harmonica as the sun went down. The best part was experiencing this surrounded by family. Thank you for creating an unforgettable experience.

It was great to see the wildlife. It was nice to also pass through the Great Salt Lake. I feel like we really got a nice tour and understanding of Antelope Island.

We all had a wonderful time with Phil! He was so personable, knowledgeable, & kind. The only issue there was a woman who coughed constantly for the whole four hours. People should be told before hand not to come if ill. But that’s not Phil‘s fault. Thats up to the company to post such a policy.
