The guide was fantastic,...

The guide was fantastic, and gave lots of historic facts and interesting information on all sites visited, the guide kept us, all the tourists entertained. The volcano crater, geyser and national park and the waterfall was a memorable day for us all. Stopping off for lunch on route for a delicious lunch and stops for a coffee break at a lovely bakery, and a stop off to see the famous Icelandic horses, what can I say this tour is a must it made my holiday a magical experience one I won’t forget.

Fantastic guide and driver

Fantastic tour with guide Pierre and driver Simon. We were picked up within our pick up window. Hadn't initially realised it was our bus as it said Magic Bus Iceland but our lovely guide had our names. We appreciated how he arranged the seating so families and couples could sit together. First stop was a toilet stop just before Kerid crater which was great as there are no toilets there. Kerid crater is very impressive. We stayed at the main viewing point which was not icy as the weather was mild. It'd be worth taking crampons if the weather is cold though especially as there is just a small rope then a steep drop (no proper barrier). You could walk around the crater if you wished. Back on the bus, past lava fields and mountains entertained by the stories Pierre told. Next stop Geysir which was also the lunch stop. Great toilets. There was a cafe but we took our own. Also a gift shop. The geysirs were amazing! Then a bonus 10 minute stop to see the lovely Icelandic Ponies! Plus Pierre kindly took a photo of us in front of the mountain which I'm grateful for. Gulfoss waterfall was the next stop. Pierre took us to the higher path and pointed out the viewing points further along. The first two viewing areas had barriers, the last path/viewing area just had a rope marking the edge. The paths were wide and not icy but if icy you'd definitely need crampons for the last one. Also lovely toilets here in the visitor centre. The last stop was Thingvellir. Pierre guided us around here with fascinating history. Toilet blocks with a view outside. Fantastic tour definitely recommend it and Simon was an excellent safe driver.

Great trip full of interesting sites, our guide Sara was fantastic, super interesting, knowledgeable, friendly and her love of Iceland shone through. Enjoyed every minute. It was a long tiring day but worth it and a trip not to be missed. The stop at the gaysirs which was also for lunch felt a bit short and rushed and felt taking a bit of time off other stops and adding to gaysirs would be better OR there was lovely food options at waterfall so maybe make that the lunch stop?? All in all excellent trip and we'll worth the money!
