Overview

You will experience nothing like this in Murano. This is the only place where you can experience such an amazing class along with glass masters working on a real furnace. No demonstration, just real a real hotshop!

Meeting points

Take line vaporetto 3, 4.1, or 4.2 from Venice to Murano "Da Mula" stop (easy to spot, it's the stop right next to the green metal bridge in Murano). Get off the ferryboat docks and immediately on your left you will find the entrance. The meeting point is at the front desk in the gallery!

Itinerary

First let me say that this experience is not for everyone! glassblowing is an extremely physical craft, so if you are afraid of extreme heat or intense physical activity then i suggest you to do a simple guided tour... but if you are ready for an intense experience that will live in your memories and heart forever than you are in the right place! Step 1 - Practical exercises with no glass: hands on exercises to develop glassblowing’s basic movements and hand eye coordination. Step 2 - practical exercises with hot glass: hands on exercises with hot glass to develop a good feeling with the moving 1000 C molten glass Step 3 - blow your own Murano glass artifact: you will have time to either make a drinking cup/bowl or a small custom glass vase The piece will have to anneal overnight so you can pick it up the next day. We can also ship your piece to you anywhere in the world but it is not included in the cost of the experience.

Unforgettable Murano Glass Workshop, A Must-Do!

This experience was absolutely incredible, words can’t do it justice! It was the perfect mix of thrilling, hands-on creativity and artistic flair. At times, it felt like we were on the edge of our seats, but the fun and guidance made it so rewarding. It quickly became the highlight of our trip to Venice, hands down. The vases we created now hold a special place in our home, reminding us of the unforgettable day. The artist who guided us was amazing, she had the heart of a teacher and made the process both approachable and inspiring. Beyond the fun, this workshop gave us a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship and artistry behind Murano glass. We 100% recommend this to anyone visiting Venice, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat!

A Fabulous Experience!!

We did the beginner glass blowing class and it was amazing. Ana was such an excellent teacher and talent. She was so patient and made sure we understood each step while guiding us along the way. My husband and I were in the class with one other couple and had a great time. I highly recommend this experience when in Murano or make a special trip to go! Our vases will be mailed back home waiting for us when we return to the States.

Tam was such an amazing instructor I was lucky to get the class to myself and was able to get some more in depth knowledge of glass blowing history in Venice. And a more one on one experience while making my artwork.
