Modern photography in a modern setting

The Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm is fun. A large modern building with funky photography exhibits. The day we were there, there was an extensive exhibit on space history and travel as well as an exhibit on photography of pregnancies. Very educational all the way around. It is also a great place for ‘fika’, or a Swedish coffee break which topically includes beverages and pastries and baked sweet goods. This in one of the best - large beautiful eating area over looking Stockholm.

Fotografiska was well worth the visit. It is a unique photography museum with several different exhibits. When we visited the featured exhibit was from the artist who created the famous Obama poster. The cafe upstairs is excellent and has a phenomenal view of the water and Stockholm. Highly recommend having a coffee upstairs at a minimum after touring the museum.

Expeditions were very interesting and the views of Stockholm from the restaurant are stunning. Make sure to visit the shop that has a good range of souvenirs

I love how the exhibitions were curated and I had a great time viewing them as well as enjoying what they had to offer in the bistro and gift shop!
