Overview
Travel from Spain to Morocco on a comfortable one hour ferry ride. Cross a continent and the famous Straight of Gibraltar on only one day and immerse yourself in the exotic old town of Tangier before heading back to Europe.

Itinerary
Crossing to another continent has never been made so easy. In on only one hour you will leave Europe with all its charm and comfort to the exotic continent of Africa. And yes, you will land right in the middle of old town where you will find only friendly faces welcoming you in Morocco!
The day starts with you retrieving your tickets at the port of Tarifa a 8.15am. The ferry leaves at 9am. Once on the board of ferry, you will enjoy amazing views right from the fairy tale-like town of Tarifa in Spain. After a short ride of only one hour where you will be crossing the famous straight of Gibraltar you will reach the old port of Tangier that is located very comfortably next to the old town.
Get off the ferry and 500 meters of walk you will be within the walled old town of Tangier. Immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the souq (center), where you can have amazing options for a nice souvenir from Africa back home. Take pictures of the ancient buildings witnessing the long history of this north African port. Sit down in an authentic and charming cafe to sip on your tasty coffee or have a typical pepper mint tea, chat with the friendly locals, stroll up to the castle and enjoy views over the Atlantic Ocean, visit the famous cafe from where the Beatles used to chill out.
The day is not finished yet as you can go to visit Cap Spartel and cave of Hercules. If you have your doubts about being in Africa yet try to ride a camel right on the beach and move with the sound of the waves telling you that "yes, you made it to Africa in only one day"!
After a full day of happening walk back to the port to take your ferry back to Europe! The return time will be between 6 and 8pm depending on the availability. If you need next day or another time please let us know when you book. Otherwise, it will be 11 am from Spain and return the same day at 6 or 8pm.

Great fun taking ferry to Tangier from Tarifa and back

Great experience taking the ferry from Tarifa Spain to Tangier, Morocco and back. No problems or delays, staff and crews on both sides were very efficient. Obviously they move (hundreds of) thousands of passengers on a regular basis. They also had a free bus to Algeciras as part of the package.

This was a lot easier than I anticipated. Bought the tickets. Showed up at the terminal for a simple process. Ferry was super clean and comfortable. Even had food service.
Great way to add Morocco to a Spanish coast vacation.

Excellent service. Nice comfortable boat with cafe. More than enough seating-although we travelled in December. Lovely helpful staff. Amazing views and a good journey there and back! Thank you:-)

We stayed in the town of Algeciras in order to catch the ferry to Tangier. We bought our tickets online the day before departure with no problems. There is a bus terminal in Algeciras with free bus transportation to the Tarifa port where the ferry is. The parking is limited and this was suggested to us as being the easiest way to ride the ferry for a day tour of Tangier. The bus was there upon return to bring us back to Algeciras. Please note that masks are required on all public transportation in Spain. There are no signs informing you until you enter a cab or train or bus!!
