You can buy the lanterns very easy here but if you make one by yourself and you will remember the whole trip. this class is unique because you will make a foldable lantern the one you can fold down to put in your bag. The feeling on the bamboo and silk will make you find your inner artisrt....

Lantern Making Class- The Great Cultural Heritage of Hoi An A Collapsible Hoi An Souvenir You will have a chance to enjoy our herbal tea and listening to the master to talk about the history and the culture of Hoi An Lanterns.... The master will prepare the frame for you and you will decorate the lanterns by yourself -Select your desired silk and color -Apply glue and let it dry - Set silk and stretch the silk to cover the stake -Fully cover the sides with silk -Cover the top and bottom of the hanger with silk strips -Select a tassel for the lantern base - Finished! Your lantern can also be folded and stowed in your luggage to be brought home And the master will make one more lantern for you like the special gifts from them at the end of the class.

Love - don’t miss the lantern making class

I loved loved this class. I did the express - I’m not very crafty, which was just under south of 90 min. The young staff helped me pull together a lantern I actually WANT to keep. Booked through get your guide for under 11$ and thought it was super cheap. All the staff is so fun and helpful! I’m only seeing now they had other tour options - I would have booked more with them and I’ll make a mental note for if I get to go back to Hoi An!

My boyfriend and I just made a lantern each here and the whole experience was so fun and wholesome! It is a family run business and everyone there was super friendly and helpful! Such a great experience and I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Hoi an!

If you’re looking for a lantern making class that ticks all the boxes then look no more! Our families had an amazing experience! The doctor will fix any imperfections made by mistake! If I could give more stars then I definitely would, from age 4 to 67 everyone absolutely loved this class!

Such a fun experience with a beautiful momento to take home. The staff are all family, they had great fun personalities and loved to joke. They explained the history of lanterns and the names of the various shapes. The staff helped with every step and you could choose from making the lantern from scratch or just decorating it with fabrics of your choice. The lanterns are foldable, like an umbrella and the staff demonstrated how to fold them up and then open them up when we get home. You can also buy DIY kits to take home, as well as a selection of many ready made lanterns.
