Overview

The 2.5-hour Downtown Charleston Culinary Tour visits four different food establishments and combines elements of a historical tour with a culinary adventure! Learn about Charleston's history as you enjoy tastings of traditional favorites and contemporary innovations, all of which highlight the cuisine of locally-owned restaurants. Insight into Lowcountry cuisine accompanies the broad range of samples on your food tour. This is our original tour around the French Quarter and City Market and focuses on the traditional flavors of the region.

Itinerary

Charleston

After meeting your foodie guide at the provided meeting location in downtown Charleston, you will begin your walking tour. Sample dishes at 4 restaurants, finishing with dessert. Each stop lasts ~30 minutes, and you'll be seated to rest your legs. For most people, the amount of food served overal is enough for a meal. As you enjoy walking through this historical section of the city, listen to stories about Charleston's culture and cuisine from your guide, who points out landmarks along your route. This wonderful experience will end within walking distance of your starting point. *Food restrictions must be separately communicated to Charleston Culinary Tours at least 24 hours in advance to be accommodated. *We cannot accommodate Vegan, Dairy/Lactose-Free, or Soy-Free diets.

Excellent foodie tour. Our tour was with Jessie. Very knowledgable, very professional! The food was excellent, would consider repeating tour if we visit Charleston again. Highly recimmend this tour!

We had so much fun on this walking tour! Our guide was enthusiastic & a wealth of knowledge about the history of Charleston. The restaurant choices were superb & the portions were more than enough at each stop. A great experience with a very reasonable price

Dana was our tour guide and she is the best! Our delicious food tour was also interesting as Dana is very knowledgeable and fun! I highly recommend this tour and ask for Dana! The tour included 4 restaurants- each was delicious and different. The portions were amazing and generous! It was truly a 4 course meal! Thank you!

Great restaurant tour tastings

This was a very nice experience that we had. We would do it again, but just with different restaurants. It was well worth the money and the food was amazing. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a wealth of information to share with us. If and when we do this again, we will make sure that we get Jess Freeman. If anyone books this tour, make sure you ask for her cause she is very, very good at her job.
