Overview

You will create a marvelous glass artwork with one of the most famous craftsmen of Venice: Massimiliano Caldarone. You are going to discover the secrets and techniques of glass-making art while you personally realize a unique item. A class with a celebrated Venetian craftsman who will teach you how to create a unique glass artwork, following the old Murano techniques. These procedures are known as lamp-work and it a typical venetian style to realize magnificent glass items. The master artisan will help you, step by step, during the whole experience to make you make your personal and inimitable glass masterpiece that, at the end, you will bring it at home as a special souvenir.

From Campo (square) San Bartolomeo, (with Rialto Bridge your left) go straight to Fondaco Dei Tedeschi, when you are in Calle Ca’ Dolfin turn right. Proceed straight on Salizada S. Canzian until Calle Larga Widmann and keep on straight along calle del Pestrin until the workshop on your left.

This was a 100% hands-on experience and the artist is very passionate and loves what he does. You would take this class in his private studio and get some keepsakes to take home! He is a great teacher and ensures you won't mess up.

We had such an awesome experience at Massimiliano’s studio. We learned a lot about glassblowing, watched him create some beautiful art (that we purchased!), and then got to try glassblowing for ourselves. We definitely recommend this experience.
