Itinerary

  • NAVTEC Expeditions - Day Tours (Pass By)

  • Needles District Visitor Center (Pass By)

The Needles District offers awe-inspiring landscapes and scenic vistas at every turn. Admire towering multicolored rock formations, ancient rock art, desert landscapes dotted with cactus and the vibrant blue southwestern sky. Keep an eye out for a variety of critters including birds, lizards, mule deer and big horn sheep, and enjoy the scent of pinyon, juniper and sage brush in the desert air.

  • Elephant Hill (Pass By)

Your guide expertly maneuvers the 4WD over Elephant Hill, known as one of the most challenging 4WD trails in southeastern Utah. Pass Devil's Kitchen and cruise down Devil's Lane before encountering SOB Hill, another challenge to the driving skills of your guide.

  • Canyonlands National Park (Pass By)

At midday, enjoy a delicious buffet-style picnic lunch at a gorgeous viewpoint. Afterward, have the option to hike the Joint Trail to the spacious meadows of Chesler Park, one of Canyonlands' most spectacular spots. The trail has a good walking surface and steep uphill pitch in parts, making for a challenging hike suitable for strong hikers. Or skip the hike and simply relax at the vehicle with time to soak up the beauty around you. Either way, your 4WD tour takes you to some of the more remote parts of the Canyonlands so that you can experience this stunning landscape firsthand.

Incredible 4x4 tour of Canyonlands Needles!!!

Published on Dec, 2024

We had a fantastic day! For those who enjoy a great 4x4 experience, we would highly recommend this tour that tackles complex terrain and gives views that few would ever experience otherwise. Charlotte, our guide/driver, was knowledgeable and a very capable driver in challenging conditions. She was incredible!! Lunch, enjoyed on a scenic viewpoint, was absolutely delicious! We would highly recommend this tour and definitely Charlotte!!!

Awesome new vistas

Published on Oct, 2024

We had gone to Island in the Sky with an audio tour the day before. This was even better. Driving into the back country over insanely rough roads opened up a vast wilderness of rock formations and grasslands we could never have seen on our own. Charlotte, our guide, was a great driver and a fount of information on geology, flora and fauna.

Perfect trip to Canyonlands and Needes

Published on Oct, 2024

We had an amazing trip to Canyonlands and Needles with Charlotte. Her driving skills and knowlege of the area and geology made this a trip will will never forget. Lunch was excellent and held in a perfect spot. We loved the additional opportunity to do some hiking, but it was never forced. If I could give this more than five stars I definately would.

Family trip to Canyonlands

Published on Jul, 2024

Our family took the 4x4 tour from our hotel in Moab to Canyonlands. Our guide was Carter, and he was fantastic. Knowledgeable, interesting, engaging and funny! We traveled from Massachusetts with our 19 and 23 year old sons. It was our first time in Utah, and Carter helped make our time in Moab great. we did the half day tour, starting around 4pm. The park is gorgeous, and very interesting. Carter brought us to some great spots, where we could really see the majesty of the park. Highly recommend!
