Overview

Boston's role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous path is best experienced on foot with an expert historian. A new partnership between two local businesses, this 2.5-hour "Tour & Taste" experience combines Boston's incredible history with all-inclusive lunch at a local brewery! Your tour travels through Downtown Boston, visiting 11 of 16 official Freedom Trail landmarks. Along the way, your expert guide delves deeply into 1768 to 1775, tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. Walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficultā€”yet essentialā€”question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country. With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." The tour concludes inside Democracy Brewing, where guests enjoy local craft beers and lunch featuring lobster rolls, clam chowder, and more.

John was fantastic! We had a small group (just myself and a friend) and it was so nice to be able to ask a lot of questions and really get a full experience! The restaurant/brewery was also exceptional!

History, Lobster Rolls, and Beer

Published on Dec, 2024

We were the inaugural group for the Freedom Trail: History Tour & Brewery Taste and it was an absolute blast. Nick, our tour guide, was extremely knowledge, friendly, and energetic. He kept everyone engaged, despite the frosty weather. Democracy Brewing was delicious. The beers and seltzers were all good and the food was incredible. Highly recommend this tour to locals and visitors alike.

Great Tour!

Great insight by Jon during what was a easy, short walk from Northend to Boston Common. The best part was the cemetery.
