Overview

Thousands of mule deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bison migrate into the valley in search of food each year along with coyotes, fox, bald and golden eagles, swans, and even packs of wolves. This gathering of wintering wildlife makes winter one of the best times to view wildlife in Jackson Hole! After a full morning in the field we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery before heading back out for the afternoon. When available, we will take a horse drawn sleigh through the National Elk Refuge into the middle of the largest wild elk herd in North America. Following the sleigh ride, we will head back into the field to spot more wildlife. **Sleigh rides are optional.

All guests are picked up and returned to their place of lodging. We pick up at hotels, condos and private residences in Jackson and Teton Village.   • The minimum age for wildlife safaris is 8 years old. (Private safaris have no age minimum.)
  • For groups of 14 guests or less: We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for all single day safaris and a 14-day cancellation policy for all 2-3 day safaris. For multi-day safaris of 4 days or more, we have a 30-day cancellation policy. Cancellations made before the policy goes into effect will receive a full refund with no penalty. Cancellations made within the cancellation policy period will not be refunded. For groups of 15 or more guests: We have a 30-day cancellation policy. Cancellations made before the policy goes into effect will receive a refund minus a 10% fee. Cancellations made within the cancellation policy period will not be refunded. We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance before your departure to protect you from incurring any costs associated with unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from joining us.

Highly Recommend!

Our tour guide was Jeffrey Meehan and he was an absolute delight. He was extremely knowledgeable and very easy to converse with. If you don’t have a ton of time in the Jackson area, I highly recommend this tour. It’ll allow you to see a good portion of the wildlife and scenery in the local area without much effort on your own part.

Jordan was very knowledgeable about the area and knew right where to take us to see all the things. To add to it, my son was having an allergic reaction to dinner the night before and Jordan accommodated his needs to stop for breaks, until I finally sent him back to the room. Ask for Jordan! Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. Vehicle was clean and comfortable.

Jeffery Meehan was our guide for our day. He made the day so memorable from the start. His knowledge of the wildlife and history of the area was impressive. He answered all of our questions with exceptional knowledge. He was plesent and taught my family alot. We saw bison, deer bighorn sheep also Moose. So many other other animals. We enjoyed the snacks . All together it was a top of the line tour. I will be back and I will recommend this tour to all of my friends. Thank you Jeff for the memories. Theresa
