Itinerary

Try something different. Suitable for all ages. You don't have to be an experienced cyclist. Many guests have not ridden a bike for decades and all ages are welcome. All of the equipment is supplied, but it is best if you wear sensible shoes and leave the flip-flops for the beach and the heels for the nights out. You will be transported uphill by mini bus and then ride downhill all the way. You can cycle as much or as little as you like. The mini bus will always be there for you. The itinerary begins with pick up at your accommodation in or near to Benidorm around 9.30 am (in winter around 10:00 am). A 60 minute drive to the top of Mt. Aitana is where you'll be fitted with a safety helmet, receive a detailed safety talk, and be allocated a bike. Next, bike ride about 5 miles to the village of Penaguila. You will stop twice on the way to ensure your comfort. Then have a drink of fresh spring water while the bikes are loaded onto the trailer. Another downhill glide from the highest point of the ride into the village of Alcoleja. Drive up to the restaurant of the Safari Aitana Park for lunch at approx. 12.45 pm. Lunch is not included into the price. The afternoon ride leads you past the village of Sella where the Bike Ride ends. Head into the local bar for a beverage to celebrate your achievement and receive your certificate as proof that you've ridden 24 miles through the Costa Blanca mountains. Lastly you will be driven back to your accommodation and arrive at about 4.00 pm.

Fantastic downhill ride through breathtaking scenery

What a fantastic experience, so exhilarating. Riding down the mountains through breathtaking scenery. We stopped in a small mountain village for lunch. Our guide, Kris, was brilliant. She was informative, good company and very safety aware. I immediately want to do it again. Highly recommended

From Collection from our Hotel to drop of back after your Downhill Bike Ride , Kris and Adam guide you, through sizing bikes, helmets and gloves, through the safety briefs, through talks about the area you are riding through, nothing is too much. Second time we have done this and we will come back for another ride next year, see you next year. Thank you.

Highlight of our trip to Benidorm

My husband and I booked this before flying out to Benidorm, and I am so glad we did. It was the highlight of our trip. We were picked up at our hotel on time and without issue. From there, we were driven to collect the bikes and another guide before being taken up to the start point. It was winter, so a little chilly to start, but the guides were well prepared with extra layers and gloves for us. After a quick safety brief, we were on our way. It really is all downhill, and the views are spectacular. Both guides (Kris and Adam) were great at providing information about the local towns we passed through and what we were looking at when we stopped to admire the beautiful scenery. There are lots of opportunities for photos. At the end, we stopped off for some food in a lovely restaurant with a beitifyl view, great food, and good company.

Awesome trip

I was in benidorm for the 10k race so was looking for something to break up trip but not to hard on the legs. This was perfect. From start to finish the trip was so well organised. We loved the scenery. The information and even stopped for some lunch and then sangria at end. Definitely a trip to do..my only complaint was it was freezing and I would wait and do in summer so I could top up my tan but the weather is unfortunately out with the control of the organisers. We all loved. Thank you.

Great active holiday activity

I had a brilliant time. I hadn't cycled in 20 years and was quite nervous beforehand but once we got started it was great! It's a fantastic route that gives you the opportunity to see the Spanish countryside. It was an easy downhill cycle even for someone that hasn't been on a bike in years. I would definitely recommend this activity.
