Itinerary

We will begin in serene Prambanan; a famous town a little ways north east of Yogyakarta city. All in one in this bike tour such as Sport, Heritage, Culture, Nature, and Local life. We will star cycle in the north of Prambanan Temple complex (outside of the Temple) in flat route through idyllic stretches of rice fields and little villages until we reach our first destination the beautiful hidden gem temple (combines Hindu and Buddhist temple in one location) we enjoy the view from outside but if you want entrance also possible, then head to the home industry/local houses where we will learn the traditional ways of making one of Indonesia’s iconic foods "emping chips". We will then continue the journey to the home dustry of making tofu ( if we are lucky we can taste fresh tofu and soya milk there. After that we continue to visit stingless beekeeping the small species bee with good quality of honey ( We can taste the pure honey here) This marks the end of our trip, where we begin another scenic cycle back to our first meeting point . Note: There will be spot addition " Gamelan instrument" for minimum 6 persons.

Great biking tour in Yogyakarta to see local produce and get to know the (background of the) city!

We did a really nice biking tour of around 2 hours. The tour was on smaller roads so it was very calm and easy to bike. First, we got a bit of background on Yogyakarta and the temples, then the biking tour started. We got a bottle of water to take along; the bottles were already in our baskets on the bike. We stopped on the outskirts of the temple, where we got an explanation of that specific temple. Then we continued on to a local home where they make chips out of some kind of nut; we got to see the process and even make some ourselves. Afterwards we went to a tofu makery; again a local product. We saw the entire process of making tofu and got to taste some. Then we stopped at a local beekeeper; we saw some bees and got to taste their delicious honey. All in all; great tour, lovely explanations, local produce, and a chance to buy products locally. Our guide was great!

Lovely Experience! Recommended and would definitely do it again in the future!!

The views are amazing! The routes are breath taking! The guide (Mas Bagus) is one of a super photographer i ever met!! If you're looking for a different experience in exploring around Yogya, this one is definitely not to be missed. PS: recommending the earliest morning for those who loves morning sunshine!

Exploring the rural side of Yogyakarta

I’m travelling solo and went on a bicycle tour with Alga. I was paired with two other women so the group was small which is nice for questions and interaction. We explored the outskirts of Yogyakarta, around the Prambanan tempe. The tour was very interesting and insightful as we were shown a side of Java you don’t usually explore on your own. All the people we met along the were super kind. The beekeeper, tofu makers, emping makers and so on. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in local, authentic culture. Alga is a great tour guide who speaks English very well.
