Overview

Enjoy an all-inclusive, private, guided tour of the historical city of Kars, concluding with an epic Caucus Dance Show (seasonal). You will see all of the most important sites in Kars: Kars Citadel, Church of the 12 Apostles, Merkez Kumbet Cami (mosque that houses the tomb of Ebu’l Hasan Harakani), Kars Museum, Fethiye Mosque, and Kars War Museum.

Pickup Details

The tour guide and tour bus will pick up all travelers before the tour from the location of your choice. Pickup time will be decided by the tour guide, based on the number of travelers. Each traveler will be notified of pickup time by email and text message.

What To Expect

1. Kars Citadel See Kars Citadel that dates back to the year 1153. Its dark stones walls will grab your attention from a distance as they dominate the horizon. 1 hour

2. The Church of the 12 Apostles, a historical Armenian Church built in the mid 10th century. When the area came under Muslim control in 1064, the church was renamed as 'Kümbet Mosque'. 1 hour

3. Kars Museum Learn about the rich history of the area at the Kars Museum and then take a tea break amidst historical Russian architecture. 2 hours

4. Kars Fethiye Camii A Russian Orthodox Church which was built for the honor of Russian Prince Alexander Nevski in 1885. It was turned into a mosque in 1985 and was renamed as 'Fethiye Mosque'. This gorgeous architecture is worth seeing. 1 hour

5. Kafkas Cephesi Harp Tarihi Muzesi This is a special museum which reflects Ottoman-Russian war and Caucasian front in both written and oral ways. 1 hour
