Coromandel Zipline Tours is a fully charitable company with all the profits from your tour going towards restoring and preserving New Zealand’s native forests and supporting the New Zealand clay arts.

Itinerary

Glide through the forest on this unique zipline canopy tour and experience Coromandel's breath-taking native forest from all levels, as you fly above the trees and walk beneath the ferns. Our knowledgeable guides will lead you on an unforgettable journey, to learn about Driving Creek’s transformation from kauri logging, gold-mining and pastural farming, into a lush hand planted native forest, a haven for regenerating kauri trees and kiwi. Two of our expert guides will greet and outfit you with the safety equipment you will need for the journey. A spectacular 18 minute train ride will take you up New Zealand’s only mountain railway to the start of your Ziplining experience. Your two friendly guides will then lead you along eight ziplines, which span 705 meters through trees and across gullies and streams, to experience New Zealand’s native trees and birds, including our largest tree species, the Kauri.

We did the zipline and it was great. The guides were amazing, shout-out to Luke and CJ who gave us a great tour, great explanations and local recommendations. We had a lot of fun, thank you!

Relaxing and exciting adventure

Our family took the last zipline tour of the day. It was just the three of us and our two guides. It was nice being out in the forest late in the afternoon. We were expertly looked after with a good combination of action and information about the forest and its history. The train ride to the start is an added bonus experience. We enjoyed ourselves greatly, especially my wife who returned for a pottery class the next day. Strongly recommend this adventure for families.

we loved the commentary about how driving creek was established and the conservation principles they stand by. The guides were informative, incredibly safety conscious yet encouraged us to try different tricks while on the zipline. It was such a fun experience. We really enjoyed this special, beautiful place

The train ride to the zip line was fun. Informative chats from the guides. Zip-lining was fantastic, well organised, safe and not too much waiting. One of our party was unable to zip-line, so took part in the pottery workshop which she really enjoyed. We had ages 25 to 62 participate so good for all ages!
