An essential visit

It took a long time for the country to start acknowledging and accepting Bomber Command and this centre is a very fitting tribute to it. Our guide, Mark, brought it to life with stories and details of the development of the IBCC. Everyone at IBCC were very helpful in ensuring our group visit went well. We highly recommend a visit but please make sure you allow plenty of time for your visit to absorb the atmosphere and history.

Interesting and Solemn Tribute Experience

Visited VE Day week to pay our respects to the many who never returned. Large car park, easy access to the interactive bomber command rooms telling the story of the many. Busy cafe, but quick service, good range of food at reasonable prices. The poppy Lancaster is amazing, super location with view to Lincoln Cathedral. A fitting location, as many aircrews would have seen the cathedral heading off to bomb Europe, and knowing nearly home as they saw it on their return. The spire and memorial boards are a solemn reminder of the number of aircrew who made the ultimate sacrifice to give us our way of life today.

We went on the anniversary of VE day so it was very busy. We joined a guided tour which was excellent. Our guide was so knowledgeable and keen to advise anyone who had relatives who were in bomber command. We would highly recommend a visit and the exhibition was excelent too.

Absolutely the best breakfast we've had in years, in fact I can't remember having a better one, staff all very friendly and knowledgeable, great location and wonderful experience, if you think I had a great day you'd be right

Very emotional place with many walls with the names of those killed in the 2nd World War. The spire was the height of the width of the wing span of a Lancaster bomber. A lovely, very knowledgeable lady took us round.
